Children Invited for Holy Saturday Activities
On Saturday, April 4th, children of All Saints Episcopal Church are
invited to a morning of fun activities.
From 10am - 12 noon, children will participate in Flowering of the Cross,
Easter Egg hunt and butterfly release to celebrate this special time in the
life of the church. Bring your children 12 and under to the All Saints
campus for this special morning.
Children are asked to bring a bunch of flowers as their offering. You
never know, there may be a special appearance from a famous furry
friend. If you need any more information about this event, contact Joe Deitz at 954-770-4300.
Today is a JOYOUS DAY! It is the “Ingathering” when we collect all your
families’ United Thank Offering (UTO) “Blue Boxes”/Envelopes.
With each “Blue Box”/Envelope placed in the collection basket, know that our offerings make it
possible for the United Thank Offering (UTO) mission
to stretch in unexpected ways.
We thank you for your commitment to this project and hope everyone
enjoyed the giving process.

Thoughts (and Ramblings) from Fr. Hugh
At the Easter Vigil and on Sundays when there is a Baptism, we all reaffirm our Baptismal Vows.
The Prayer Book reminds us that our ministry is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to
him wherever we may be; to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world, according to the gifts
given to us, and to take our place in the life and worship of our Church.
As baptized Christians, our ministry takes place right where we work, live or study each day.
We do minister to others through our church. But we are also called to go out beyond this holy
place. We need to always be aware of what is happening in school, in the work place, and in our
community where we can “proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ; to seek
and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as yourself; to strive for justice and peace among
all people, and to respect the dignity of every human being.”
These are the promises we make.
The Hon. Byron Rushing, an Episcopalian, and a State Representative in Massachusetts, makes the
suggestion, “We should all frame our Baptismal Certificate and hang in on the wall where we will see it
all the time.” Just as we clergy do with our certificates of ordination.
So two ideas for this Easter Season; first, go look, go dig – maybe you don’t have to do that – and
see if you can find your Baptismal certificate.
And, secondly, drop a brief note of thanks to the Priest who baptized you. Now if that was long
ago, take a moment and offer prayers for that person.

A READING FROM MARK 11:1-11
When they were approaching Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent
two of his disciples and said to them, "Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately as you enter it,
you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden; untie it and bring it. If anyone says to you, `Why
are you doing this?' just say this, `The Lord needs it and will send it back here immediately.'" They went
away and found a colt tied near a door, outside in the street. As they were untying it, some of the
bystanders said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?" They told them what Jesus had said; and
they allowed them to take it. Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it; and he sat on
it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the
fields. Then those who went ahead and those who followed were shouting,

The Jubilee Center is a soup kitchen and food pantry serving homeless and poor individuals and
families. It has been part of All Saints' outreach ministry for many years with several members of our
church volunteering there in a variety of ways
On March 1st the Jubilee Center held its annual Walk Against Hunger fundraiser. Several of our members
walked in that event and several others were sponsors. The "Walk" raised in excess of $10,000 with about
$800 coming from All Saints. We are a major supporter of the Jubilee Center and our involvement is
greatly valued.
Remembering All Saints
The Legacy Society has asked that all members include All Saints in their estate plans . A donation in form
of “stock”, may be a very good option.
