(March 24, 2015) —The Christian Education Leadership Academy (CELA), a new, worldclass Christian school opening just off Highway 16 in Pewaukee on September 1, 2015, has announced the generous ongoing gifts and scholarships that will be made available to CELA scholars, including the Founding Student Scholarship, a yearly scholarship for all founding students. The dream of CELA is to provide a world-class academy that will combine the highest level of academic excellence with Christian values and character development, along with leadership training and development to prepare leaders for the future in all walks of life. Further to this mission, CELA will develop methods and techniques resulting in improved educational effectiveness and then share their findings with all educators who are interested in order to broaden the impact of CELA’s work. To accomplish these goals, CELA needs to be sustainable on an ongoing basis while being affordable to the student body. The vision of CELA also needs to be accomplished rapidly in order to be the success CELA wants it to be. To provide the affordability, the approximately 60-acre campus along with the 170,000 square foot facility is being provided to CELA at a zero-cost triple-net lease, providing an ongoing tuition credit of $5,000 for each student on an annual basis. This credit will be subtracted from the tuition, which has been set at $14,750 per student (in grades 5K-8) per year, resulting in the discounted tuition of $9,750 for the 2015-2016 school year. Additionally, in an effort to start the academy rapidly and to be able to attract the group of like-minded families to demonstrate the potential of the children and academy, the Co-Founders of CELA, Brian and Nancy Nahey, are providing a Founding Student Scholarship of $4,000 for each student enrolled at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. The net tuition per student for this first year will be $5,750. The Founding Student Scholarship is to reward the founding students and their families for establishing the performance and credibility of the academy. Each founding student will continue to receive this yearly Founding Student Scholarship, which will be reduced by $400 each year for as long as the student attends CELA. Tuition for 4 year old kindergarten will be $4,000 per student. -more- The 2015 academic year will begin on September 1, 2015. CELA will accept approximately 300 students as maximum enrollment for the academy’s first year. CELA is now accepting Applications of Interest, available at www.CELAedu.org. Any parent interested in the academy for the 2015-2016 school year will need to submit an Application of Interest. The formal enrollment application will be available beginning the week of April 20. CELA is offering interested parents and their children the chance to see the academy for themselves at a number of open houses at the end of March and the beginning of April. The open house will consist of guided tours through the campus and the opportunity to speak with Headmaster Jeremy Bock. Attendees will also view showcased technology and approaches that will be implemented at the academy, along with examples of curriculum under consideration. Parents will be able to discuss the CELA approach to handling technology as it is integrated between the academy and home.
