PROPER HELMETS AND RIDING BOOTS MUST BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS AT ALL TIMES WHILE RIDING IN
THE SHOW, ON SHOW GROUNDS AND IN THE WARM-UP RING. NO EXCEPTIONS!

All classes will be judged according to the General
Performance Rules
The Vancouver Island Arabian Horse Association (VIAHA)
reserves the right to refuse entry to any party or parties
Individuals and/or their trainers, including minors, who
have outstanding entries or stall fees owing to the VIAHA
will be prohibited from participating in any further shows
until the entire balance has been retired.
No training equipment will be allowed in the show arena.
In all western classes, horses 6 years old and over must be
in a full (curb) bridle.
Gate calls are a courtesy only. It is the responsibility of the
exhibitor to be on time for their classes.
No one is allowed to approach or ask questions of the judge
during the show unless authorized by the show committee

Junior 12 and Under: Classes 2, 19, 27, 31, 35, 44, 48, 51, 53, 55
Junior 13 - 18 years: Classes 2, 21, 28, 31, 37, 44, 48, 51, 53, 55
Senior: Classes 2, 22, 29, 32, 38, 45, 48, 51, 53, 56
English: Classes 23, 25, 39, 41, 46

Note: All exhibitors are eligible for each show’s Hi-Points
Numbers may be displayed on exhibitor's back or on saddle
pad. If displayed on saddle pad it must be on both sides.

Exhibitor’s age is as of January 1, 2015
Juniors are prohibited from handling or riding a stallion
unless authorized by the VIAHA show committee at least 3
days prior to the show.
Novice class eligibility is as of time of entry; horse not to
have won 3 firsts in any of the classes in the division.
Beginner rider: must be a rider’s first year of showing.
Beginner horse: must be a horse’s first year of showing
We’ve Only Just Begun: Must be rider’s or horse’s first year
of showing. Canter/Lope will be called
Exhibitors must produce proof of BC Horse Council
membership or will be charged for a new membership.
