Featuring an advanced multi-stage vacuum system for complete removal of
the air, even from hollow, porous materials, B Futura autoclaves are equipped
with an effective final vacuum drying phase that eliminates every last trace of
moisture from any load. Available in 17, 22 and 28-litre versions.
The exclusive steam generation system, efficient
hydraulic circuit and sophisticated electronic control
(which features high-precision sensors) ensure high
process execution speeds and excellent stability of
thermodynamic parameters.
Furthermore, the Process Evaluation System provides
constant real-time monitoring of all the “vital” machine parameters, thus ensuring absolute safety and
perfect results.
The 6 sterilisation programmes (of which one is programmable) feature personalised drying and have
been designed to provide fast, effective sterilisation of the many different load types (instruments and
materials) used in medical work environments.
All cycles can be selected immediately via a new colour touch-screen display
featuring clear, easy-to understand icons. The display also allows the user to
select the language, manage users and personalise the steriliser exactly as
desired.
The fill-empty tanks, which feature large doors, are easy to access, inspect and sanitise. The conductivity sensor incorporated in the tank
automatically ascertains the quality of the distilled water being used
and warns the operator should it be unsuitable.
An innovative LED light bar illuminates the work zone in front of the
sterilisation chamber, making fill-empty tasks easier where lighting is poor.
B Futura autoclaves also provide users with versatile data management and
full reconditioning process traceability thanks to USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi (optional) connections.

Classic S Autoclave
Derived from a new-concept design, the S classic is made of quality
components and materials to provide long-lasting performance. Available
with 17 and a 22 litre chamber volumes, it features a practical black and
white LCD display and a soft-touch keypad.
S Classic autoclaves are electronically controlled and
equipped with a stainless steel sterilisation chamber.
The practical single-stage air extraction system allows
execution of advanced S-type cycles, providing suitable sterilisation of solid instruments and hollow load products B.
A final, highly efficient vacuum drying stage means that
bagged loads can also be sterilised. The innovative steam
generator and exclusive hydraulic circuit ensure outstandingly

The Process Evaluation System ensures constantly

it is difficult to know how effective it is. This is where validation comes into
account. A validation is a series of scrutinising tests carried out by our
engineers, aimed to ensure everything is running smoothly. More details
regarding validation are available to the rear of this sheet. We also repair
autoclaves that may have problems. See our 4 step process below.

Maintenance: Autoclave - Car analogy
When looking to buy a new car you need to decide what the car is going to be used for, city driving,
commuting or just simply for pleasure. At Dental Decontamination Ltd we have an autoclave to suit
every need for sterilisation; Dentistry, Veterinary, Tattooist, Podiatry and more. Just like your car,
you also look to see if it is reliable, affordable, cost effective to run, maintain and if it has the newest
technology available to the market. With Mocom’s newest range of autoclaves you can be assured
that the answer to all of these questions is, yes.
In many ways, motor vehicles and dental autoclaves share similar properties in how they should be
maintained. When you are the owner of a car, you carry out daily and weekly checks to ensure
everything is running smoothly. Daily test’s such as just simply checking the temperature, fuel gauge
and listening to hear how the engine is running can be compared to running a helix test every
morning. Print outs allow you to see that the machine is sterilising the equipment correctly. With
regards to weekly tests in a car, you check to make sure the tyres are correctly inflated, oil level is
correct and also that the water level is sufficient. With an autoclave you should always check the
filters and door seal to make sure they are not damaged or blocked up, a vacuum test every
morning ensures that the autoclave is pulling a vacuum correctly. Just remember to always put the
correct fuel in the autoclave as water quality above 15 micro seaman’s will cause damage to the
inner workings of any autoclave.
Motor vehicles are required to have an annual MOT by law, this is no different to an autoclave.
Autoclaves are validated annually in accordance to HTM01-05, En17665 and En10360. With regards
to cars, most people get them serviced as well as an annual MOT to maintain a high level of reliability, at Dental Decontamination Ltd we recommend the same, as replacing seals in filters on an annual
basis can keep the machine running smoothly.
We provide both the annual service and validation in one package for just £495 + VAT for vacuum
autoclaves, and £295 + VAT for non-vacuum autoclaves.

Maintenance: Engineer Tips
Your decontamination equipment is a vital part of your dental practice. Maintenance and
testing of your decontamination equipment is vital in assuring that it remains fit for purpose.
Having your equipment serviced on a regular basis is paramount. Also, simple user
maintenance checks could save you unnecessary repair and call out fees.
For example:
Wipe the face of the autoclave chamber every morning to remove debris.
This will prolong the life of the door seal.
Make sure that the reservoir is clean and covered when not filling with water.
Remember, whatever is in the reservoir could get inside the autoclave.
Do not overload your autoclave and make sure to stick to manufacturers guidelines.
Overloading can cause problems for your autoclave.
Regularly remove and clean out the chamber filter (for vacuum autoclaves only).
This may cause vacuum/ steam discharge errors.
Daily and weekly user tests on your decontamination equipment must be carried out
accordingly and logged. Ensure you are carrying out the relevant tests to the type of autoclave
you have (N type or B type). These tests verify your equipment for use. If you are unsure about
what test to do and when, we recommend you refer to HTM01-05 or, contact Dental
Decontamination Ltd and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Track and traceability in dental is important. Do not just assume that your data logger/ printer
on your autoclave or washer disinfector is working. Check it on a regular basis, you never know
when it might be needed.
Our engineers at Dental Decontamination Ltd are fully competent and have electrical /
electronic qualification and experience. All our engineers have attended Eastwook Park,
Gloucestershire and attended all the relevant decontamination and
infection control conferences to test washer disinfectors and
both N/B type autoclaves.
