WA Academy of Performing Arts WA Academy of Performing Arts Robert Dowland, son of John Dowland, the renowned English lutenist, travelled widely on the con nent. In 1610 he published an anthology of 20 songs represen ng some of his choicest favourites. It was playfully tled “A Musical Banquet: furnished with delicious Ayres, collected out of the best authors in English, Spanish, and Italian.” For this concert, WAAPA students perform Dowland’s beau fully scripted Jacobean program.
