From the President…..
The 2nd Quarter Assessment is now due, if you have not dropped off your dues, do so before a late fee is
assessed.
March is over and April is all ready here. Many are getting ready to go north for the summer, just remember it is
still cold in the east and mid-west, (still snowing the last week of March). I wish all traveling north, safe travels.
We have enjoyed another great winter season here in southwest Florida. Our community continues to flourish.
Many of our clubs and activities have grown, both in interest and participation. Thanks for all your help and
concerns regarding the office operations the first quarter of 2015.
If you have access to the World Wide Web (aka internet), check out our improved Web site at:
www.enchantingshores.com. This updated web site can be accessed by P.C.s, Mac, and mobile devices,
a great improvement from before. All of our documents are updated on the web site. Review Architectural
Guidelines for any improvements to your home or parcel, also check with Collier County for any vertical
changes to your home, this would include any type of outside walls, with or without windows or doors.
As many of you get ready for the tract north, remember to pick-up around the outside of your home.
Remember to store, anchor or tie down any items less than 100 pounds during hurricane season. Remember to
shut down your sprinkler system during the wet season, (June through September).
Please update your "home watcher" information with the office.
Keep your home and property as beautiful off season as it is while you are here. For those remaining all year,
enjoy the relaxed lifestyle, especially less highway traffic.
Rick Maxfield

CHECKLIST WHEN LEAVING YOUR UNIT
In the next several weeks many of you will be returning to your northern location. It is very important that each
unit owner have a friend, neighbor or relative inspect your unit in your absence on a regular basis.
I have seen minor to major damages occur while the unit owner was absent and no one was listed to inspect
their unit. Please remember to sign out when leaving for the summer and include the name and telephone
number of your HOME WATCH person.
 Turn off the main water supply to your unit, leaving the water on to your outside faucet.
 Set your A/C and humidistat according to the instructions.
 Lock all windows and doors.
 Remove furniture, plants, etc. from outside and store in your unit or storage room.
 Shut and lock hurricane shutters.
 Empty your refrigerator.
 Remove all perishable items including open cereal boxes.
 Unplug or turn off the breaker to your hot water heater and other major appliances. It is not recommended
to turn off your refrigerator.
 Disconnect the television cable and electrical cables from your television, stereo, telephone and computer.
 Tell your home watcher if they turn on the water be sure to turn it off before they leave.
 Disconnect phone service and cable.
 Cancel all newspapers.
 Forward your mail, allowing 7 to 10 days.
 Make arrangements for lawn care, weed removal and the removal of fruit from your trees.
 Secure all items at your home weighing 100 pounds or less. Also, all boats and trailers must be secured.
 Please check your exterior sheds and verify that the tie downs are adequate for Hurricane Season.
Thank you for your co-operation, enjoy your summer months.

The Cruise for next year, February 28, 2016, is already posted on the Clubhouse bulletin board.
In past years we received calls from single people who were interested in going on the cruise
but needed to share a room with another traveler. In some cases they inquired too late to find
a match; for 2016 we are going to maintain a list of singles interested in possibly going and
sharing a cabin.
If you are interested in going on the 2016 cruise and would like to be added to our list please
call Bob or Kay at 239-207-8039 or email [email protected] .
This list will not be posted on any board. Thanks, Kay Sherman
