physicians, nurses, mid-levels, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals whose daily occupation requires them
to either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital. Part One of the course is online and
participants bring their course work to day two of the course. Part one includes the didactic portion of the course, while part two
has mega code scenarios that the students practice and participate in. Educational Objectives for ACLS: At the conclusion of the

PALS is a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course. In this course you will reinforce and enhance your skills in the treatment of
pediatric arrest and periarrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated pediatric emergencies. The
simulations are designed to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life
support, PALS treatment algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics. The goal of the PALS course is to improve the
quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The first part of the course must be

Firefighter (S131) — Look Up/Look Down (S133)
(5/27/2015) Get Two Classes in one setting!! Advanced Wildland Firefighter Type 1, S-131, is a six-hour course designed to meet
the training needs of the Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1). This course is designed to be interactive in nature. The course contains
several tactical decision games designed to facilitate learning the objectives and class discussion. Topics include fireline
reference materials, communications, and tactical decision making. Look Up/Look Down (S133) This course is designed to train
Incident Commander Type 5 (ICT5) and Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) to identify environmental factors and indicators of hazardous
fire conditions, and how to use these indicators when implementing the Risk Management Process. The course is CD-based
classroom course, based on facilitated exercises.

(5/26-5/30/2015) There are two options for students to complete the prerequisites before the field day on May 30, 2015. The first
option is to complete the Online Basic Wildland Fire Training (S130/ S 190/ L180 / I100) through the NWCG website at:
http://training.nwcg.gov/online.html. To complete the online course work you must contact the course administrator, Sean
Basso, Fire Captain USFS, at 775.778.6116 or email him at [email protected] for help with the website navigation. Please allow
plenty of time to complete the online courses before the field day. Cut off for enrollment for students who choose the online
format will be May 22, 2015 at 5:00 pm. The cost of this class is $100.00 The second option for students to complete the
prerequisites is to take the classes live in a classroom setting. Students will take S130, S190, L180 and I100 with instructor Sean
Basso. These classes will run from Tuesday, May 26th - Friday, May 29th, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. This cost of this class is $100.00.
Students under the age of 18 need parental consent to register for the classes and field day. To obtain consent form please

personnel who may engage firing operations. The target audience for the 2014 revision has been expanded to include Fire

the course work is not a substitute for the dynamic fire environment. The course provides students with important information
