ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS
Consumer Safety Information
THIS APPLIANCE IS INTENDED FOR INDOOR HOUSEHOLD
USE ONLY.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE CORD SHOWS
ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY
OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord)
is provided to reduce risk resulting from becoming entangled
in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a
long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. The longer cord should be arranged so that it cannot be
pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is

Plug cord in 120 volt wall outlet.
Keep unit closed and preheat until hot or ready light turns on.
•
•
The power light will illuminate as the heating surface heats.
The appliance must be pre-heated before using.
As soon as the appliance is ready, the ready light will turn on.
You can now begin using the appliance.
Open the appliance using the front handle only.
When closing the appliance, make sure that latch is engaged.
CAUTION: if there is too much batter applied it will not be
possible to close the appliance. To remedy this, remove
some of the filling. Never force this appliance to close
when over filled.
Carefully pour the correct amount of the prepared batter
(see recipes) onto the center of the cooking tray in the base
of the cone maker.
Close the lid slowly, so that the mix is dispersed evenly across
the plate, and leave for about 30 seconds. Then lift the lid to
see if the cone mix is cooked. If not, lower the lid and continue
cooking and checking at 10 second intervals (cooking times
will vary slightly depending on ingredients) – be careful not
to over-cook.
Once the cone mix has a light golden brown appearance,
carefully remove from the cooking plate using a plastic
spatula. Quickly lay it onto the cone form. Wrap
it around to form a cone shape. Once the cone starts to cool
it will harden. Cones not required for immediate use should
be stored in an air-tight container.
If you wish to bake more, re-brush cooking surface
with oil, close the appliance again and wait until the
heating surfaces have reheated sufficiently.
When the ready light illuminates again, the baking process
can be repeated as described above.
When done using the unit, disconnect the electric
plug immediately. Keep the appliance open allowing
it to cool down.
4
• Caution: The heating surfaces as well as the sides and
top of the appliance may get very hot. Avoid contact with
these hot areas by only using the handles.
• The appliance must always be positioned horizontally
during use.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Unplug cord from the wall outlet.
• Only clean this appliance when it has completely cooled down.
• Clean the housing surface and the cooking surfaces of this
unit with a soft, damp cloth.

very soft brush.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects
(e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) when cleaning.
• Caution: Do not immerse this appliance in water or other
liquids as it could lead to electric shock.
• DO NOT WASH IN DISHWASHER

HELPFUL HINTS
1. During first time use of this unit, there may be a
slight odor once the unit has warmed up. That is
caused by the normal breaking in period and is
nothing to be concerned about.
5
2. Cones that do not set or are not brown are due to insufficient
heat or cooking time is too short. Ensure that the
cone maker is fully pre-heated and the ready light is on.
Use the correct quantity of the recipe.
3. If the cones are too brown, insufficient batter is used
or the cooking time is too long. Ensure cooking plate
is full or reduce cooking time before checking.
4. If the cones are sticking to the plate, ensure plates are
clean and lightly oiled before each use.
5. Use smooth-edged plastic utensils. DO NOT use
sharp-edged cooking tools such as knives, forks,
spoons etc. as the scratching will affect the non-stick
performance.

HOW TO PROPERLY ROLL A WAFFLE CONE
This waffle cone maker comes with a special waffle
cone rolling device that will make it easy for you
to make the perfect waffle cone. It may take you a
few tries to perfect your technique so be patient
and enjoy!
Use the edge of the cloth to lift one side of the waffle
up onto the cone-form. You can use the cloth at first to
help support the hot waffle, press the waffle firmly against and
partially around the cone-shaping device. Then let the cloth fall
back as you roll the cone forward until the waffle completely
wraps around the cone-form as illustrated in Figure 2.
When your waffle reaches the appropriate color it is ready
to be formed. The moment it is ready, place it on a dry soft
cloth as shown in Figure 1. Do so quickly before the waffle
hardens. Place the point of the cone- shaping device
about 1/2 inch from the edge of the waffle with the
cone-form resting across the entire waffle.
Hold the waffle on the cone shaping device. Now place
the overlapped waffle seam face down and press firmly
against the maker to seal the seam (See Figure 3).
While the cone is still warm, pinch the bottom to seal it and
prevent drops of ice cream from leaking out when the cone is filled.
Once done you can put the cone into a tall glass or a cone holder
if you have it. Cones will last several days or longer if they are
sealed in a plastic bag.

1 complete egg
1 egg white
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of butter (warm)
2/3 cup of all purpose flour and
1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Preheat the waffle iron.
Put the egg white, egg and salt and in a bowl. Beat them
until the mix is properly blended. Add the sugar to
this mixture. Stir until the egg gets light in color
(this will take like a minute or so). Add the flour and mix
throughly so there are no lumps. Add the melted butter
and mix.
Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the waffle iron.
Bake it for a minute, then check for proper color.
Quickly remove it and roll it in a cone.
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
Preheat the waffle cone maker. Place the chocolate and butter
in a small saucepan and melt over low heat. Stir to combine,
then set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Beat the eggs and salt in a
small bowl with a fork until well blended. Beat in the sugar
until sugar is incorporated and the eggs have lightened in
color slightly, about 1 minute. Stir in the melted chocolate and
butter. Add the flour and cocoa powder, stirring slowly until all
flour is moistened. Beat another 15 seconds to incorporate the
flour and remove all lumps. Stir in the vanilla extract, if using.
Spoon 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) of batter in the center of
the iron. Bake for 1 minute then check for proper color. Cook
additional 5 to 10 seconds if necessary.
Immediately remove the waffle and roll it into a cone.
