•
Place the appliance on a clean, flat and heat resistant surface.
Place the drip tray (8) in the base (7) (ill. a ). Ensure it sits in the base (7) securely.
Insert the plug (3) into a wall outlet (ill. b ). The POWER indicator (12) turns on.
The appliance will now heat up. Once the operating temperature has been
reached, the READY indicators (10) will turn on.
• Lift up the lid (1) by its handle (5) and place it in a vertical position (ill. c ).
• Apply cooking spray or spray butter on the waffle irons (3, 5). Now the appliance
is ready for baking waffles.
Baking waffles
• Using the measuring cup (6), pour one full cup of batter onto the lower waffle
iron (9) (ill. e ). Pour the batter on the center of lower waffle iron to cook the
waffle with average color.
NOTE: Always use the appliance with the drip tray (8). Fill the batter in the measure
cup (6) to MAX line. Do not overfill the waffle iron, as any access batter may leak out
of the appliance.
NOTE: During the cooking process, the READY indicators (10) will turn on and off
several times to ensure a constant temperature.
• Lower the upper waffle iron (11) and rotate the handle (5) 180° clockwise
(ill. h ).
NOTE: The handle (5) can also be folded 90° for easy rotating.
• Waffles are done in about 2 - 2½ minutes, depending on recipe, or when
steaming begins to stop.
• Rotate the handle (5) 180° anti-clockwise (ill. i ).
• Open the appliance (ill. j ), as previously described, and remove the waffles
using a plastic or wooden utensil.
NOTE: Never use any metal utensils, as these will damage the nonstick coating.
• After removing the waffles, keep the waffle iron closed, so that the heat remains
inside the appliance for the next set of waffles. Wait until the READY indicators
(10) lights up again. Repeat previous steps.
• Unplug the appliance when you are done with preparing waffles (ill. k ). All
indicator lights switch off.
• Allow appliance to cool down completely before handling again.

Hints and Tips
• Most waffle batter can be poured directly onto the nonstick waffle iron (9). Use a
cooking spray for dessert waffles or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your waffles
start to stick, the waffle irons (9, 11) may need to be scrubbed with a nylon brush
to remove any cooked-on food particles.
• Most waffles can be made ahead of time and kept warm in a 200°F (90°C) oven.
• To store waffles, let them cool and then pack into an airtight container. Store in
a refrigerator or freezer. Waffles can be reheated in a microwave oven or regular
oven.
• Most waffles are done in about 2 - 2½ minutes. Recipes made from scratch may
take longer. Check for doneness after approximately 5 minutes or when the
steaming stops. If the appliance does not open easily, allow waffles to cook for
another minute before checking again.
Cleaning
Proper maintenance will ensure many years of service from your appliance. Clean
the appliance after every use. The appliance contains no user serviceable parts and
requires little maintenance. Leave any servicing or repairs to qualified personnel.
CAUTION: Disconnect the plug (3) from the wall outlet (ill. k ). Allow all parts of
the appliance to cool down completely.
NOTE: Do not immerse the power cord and plug (3) into water or any other liquid.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring pads. Dry all parts thoroughly
after cleaning, before using or storing the appliance. Ensure that no water enters
the appliance housing.
• Clean the housing of the appliance, waffle irons (9, 11) and drip tray (8) with a
damp, soapy cloth.
• Rinse cloth and wipe all parts again.
• Clean the measuring cup (6) under running water or in a dishwasher.
• Dry the appliance and any accessories thoroughly.

• Before storage, always make sure the appliance is completely cool, clean and
dry.
• It is recommended to store the appliance in a dry place.
• Store the appliance on a stable shelf or in a cupboard, preferably in its original
packaging. To avoid accidents, ensure that both the appliance and its power cord
are beyond reach of children or pets.
