Centennial Worship Celebration Greeters
On February 22nd at 10am we will have an all church service on the SMU campus, in Moody Coliseum, to kick off our 100th
birthday. It will be a huge celebration with lots of friendly faces needed to help us as we welcome the crowds. Be a part of

Jesters, HPUMC’s theater troupe comprised of teens and adults with special needs
Are you looking to serve with the Special Needs community? The Jesters performance is quickly approaching and we could use your help.
We need groups to serve as greeters and ushers at the show on February 7th, 5:00pm and February 8th, 5:00pm. Please email Amy

Flower Deliverer - Caring Ministries
If you’re looking for an easy and impactful way to serve some of our own HPUMC members who are not able to fully participate in the life
of the church, Caring Ministry is the perfect option! On Sunday after church or Monday morning the altar flowers from the sanctuary are
made into birthday bouquets and then delivered to our members. The birthday bouquets are made in Room 217 where all the necessary

others!
IN THE COMMUNITY
CitySquare
Join CitySquare in their mission to fight the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship. Groups are
encouraged to help organize and distribute food in the food pantry at their newly opened Opportunity Center in South Dallas. Help is also
needed to inventory and organize at the CitySquare Thrift Store. Contact Hillary Owen, [email protected] for more information.
St. Paul United Methodist Church
Every 2nd Saturday, 8:00am - 10:00am, HPUMC serves a full breakfast and distributes personal hygiene items to 70 homeless men and
women at St. Paul UMC, located in the Dallas Arts District. Children, over the age of 5, are welcome to participate with their parents. To

Dickinson Place & Tyler Street Tower
These two residential high rises provide low-income senior citizens safe, affordable housing and programming to enhance spiritual,
individual and social well-being. The residents are always excited for groups to host parties or gatherings for them. Prize bingo, board
games, crafts, and homemade treats are always popular. Groups are also welcome to do handyman projects (changing light bulbs, dusting,
etc.) or beautification projects. Your group can coordinate a time to serve by contacting Lori Gordon at [email protected].
New Friends New Life
New Friends New Life is a faith-based organization dedicated to restoring and empowering formerly trafficked girls and sexually
exploited women and their children. Each Wednesday night, the women and their children gather for their weekly program. Groups can
provide the meals, serve and clean up the meals, and serve to do crafts or games with the children. Contact Taryn Stinson at tstinson@
