GOVERNMENT OF INDIA INDIA METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR DELHI, CHANDIGARH, HARYANA, PUNJAB, JAMMU AND KASHMIR, HIMACHAL PRADESH, RAJASTHAN, UTTAR PRADESH AND UTTARAKHAND MONDAY 06 JULY 2015 (15 ASHADHA, 1937 SAKA) SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HOURS IST: South west Monsoon has been vigorous over west Uttar Pradesh and active over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. The axis of Monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Firozpur, Karnal, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bhagalpur and thence SE-wards. RAINFALL: Rain/Thundershowers have occurred at most places over west Uttar Pradesh, at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir, at isolated places over Haryana and east Rajasthan. Weather was dry over rest of the region.The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are (10 cm and above) : HARYANA: Naraingarh 16, HIMACHAL PRADESH: Una and Bangana 13 each, UTTARAKHAND : Nainital 12 and Haldwani 11 each, EAST-UTTAR PRADESH: Ayoadhya 19, Shahbad 13, Mankapur and Sidhauli 11 each and WEST- UTTAR PRADESH: Thakurdwara 13 and Shahjahanpur 10.
