Government of India Ministry of Earth Sciences India Meteorological Department Regional Meteorological Centre, New Delhi PRESS RELEASE (31st March 2015) WEATHER OUTLOOK OVER NORTH WEST INDIA INCLUDING DELHI NCR FOR NEXT ONE WEEK Two western disturbances would affect (one from today and other from 2nd April onwards) western Himalayan region and adjoining plains of north-west India. They will cause fairly widespread to widespread rain/snow(over higher reaches) over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next one week. They may also cause isolated heavy to very heavy rain/snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during first to third April. Thundersquall accompanied with hailstorm may also occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 2nd and 3rd April. The above western disturbances and induced systems may cause isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers over Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh during next one week, over east Uttar Pradesh on 31/03/2015, 03 & 04th April, over Rajasthan during 2nd to 5th April. Isolated thunder squall accompanied with hailstorm may also occur over Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan during 2nd to 4th April and over east Uttar Pradesh on 3rd and 4th April. Under the influence of above systems, light rain/thundershowers may occur over some parts of Delhi and NCR during 2nd to 7th April. Thundersquall accompanied with hailstorm could also occur in some areas on 3rd and 4th April.
