All the rain has washed the sand in and the Greens are healing well.; the greens should be back to normal within a few weeks. With at least six inches of rain on the course, the Crew has worked hard to get things back in playable condition. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to recover from the recent storms. As things started to dry out towards the end of the month, we were able to mow out the Tees, Fairways, and Aprons. We have also started mowing our Roughs and will continue to do so throughout the upcoming weeks. We have noticed some winter kill on some areas in the Bermuda, but expect to grow out of them. We continue to make progress on the bunkers. The storms caused severe washouts, which required us to redistribute sand for appropriate depths. Once that is complete, we have one more greenside bunker to renovate, then we will begin the fairway bunkers at #5. We are wrapping up an irrigation leak we had at the Chipping Green; please excuse the mess. We have stalled out on native clearing, since the Bermuda grass has started to green up, aerification of the greens and cleaning up from the Flood of 2015. We plan to get back to clearing native areas on dry days. The New Putting Course is set up for play…just check in at the Pro Shop for a score card. Crews work to clean up the course after severe weather Crews aerify the greens The aerified greens THE MONTHLY APPROACH MAY 2015 Golf - Mike Mueller, Head Golf Pro We are excited that the calendar has flipped to May, because that means ALL of our golf programs for 2015 are up and running.
