Sheikh-Bahai Technopreneurship Festival is to foster the
culture of creativity, innovation and technopreneurship,
Isfahan Science &Technology
Town (ISTT) is pleased to
host the 11th Sheikh-Bahai
Technopreneurship Festival.
The festival is also supported
by IRIS, category 2 center of
UNESCO for Incubators and
Science and Technology
Parks development.
The Festival will be held in
Tehran, the capital city of
Iran, this year for the first time
ever in the history of the
festival.
and to identify and encourage technopreneurs through out
the world. The Festival encompasses
all technopreneurial fields including
technical and engineering, hygienic
and medicine, basic sciences,
agriculture, humanities, culture and
art, services, etc.

Importance
of the Event
The Sheikh-Bahai Festival is the most important event in the field of
entrepreneurship/technopreneurship in the region. This festival is a
place where technology holders/owners of ideas and investors meet
each other, introduce their novel ideas and innovative technologies,
show their potentials and interests, and participate in the sideline
exhibition and workshops in an interactive atmosphere.

representatives from international organizations are our very
important persons proudly will join us and give some speech during
the event.

SHTF is hosted and organized by Isfahan Science & Technology
Town (ISTT), Ministry of Science, Research and Technology
(MSRT), Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubators &
Science Parks Development (IRIS) (under the auspices of UNESCO),
as well as UNESCO.
Location
According to the strategy of festival for this year, the event of 2015
will be held in Tehran, capital city of Iran. SHTF was used to be held
in the city of Isfahan since its first round in 2005 until the last year
event. The place of this year event will be in I.R. Iran International
Conference Center, Tehran, to encourage attendance of more
innovative k-based companies, major industries, high-ranking
officials and more importantly the international participants.
Technological
Exhibition
An exhibition will be held to represent technopreneurs’ achievements
from different fields of activities & technologies at the sideline of the
festival. This exhibition is a very good and suitable platform for
foreign companies to explore and achieve the big Iranian market.
Business
Match
Meeting
SHTF has had a very good experience in business matching and
roundtables for technology holders and investors during the past
years. This section is one of the most interactive parts of the event in
which many investors meet with owners of ideas, technologies and/or
products and sign cooperation agreement.
The Festival Structure
The structure of the Sheikh-Bahai Technopreneurship Festival is based on
two general sections, Competition and Non-competition. Identifying the
best technopreneurs, the best business planners, and the best technopreneur
sponsors will be carried out in the competition section.
The non-competition section includes Exhibition, Idea Exchange Market
and Training Seminars/Workshops.

Exhibition
An exhibition will be held to represent the technopreneurs’ achievements at the sideline of the 11th SheikhBahai Technopreneurship Festival. The technopreneurial innovations and achievements are to be showcased
in this exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the city of Tehran on 9th to 11th of May 2015. The booths
will be designed by space frames and they will be well equipped with necessary equipment. Besides, the
technopreneurial innovations will be represented at this exhibition, the major industries in the country,
knowledge-based companies in STPs, private companies and R&D units from Iran and other countries will
also be represented at this exhibition, where they can meet their partners and can be visited by a significant
number of technical visitors who are their potential customers as well.
The exhibitors can enjoy and explore the big Iranian market.
Idea Exchange and Business Matching
The idea exchange market has been held for 10 rounds during the years 2004 to 2014 at the sideline of the
festival. The 11th festival in 2015 also will enjoy an idea exchange market in which technopreneurs and
business planners meet each other and investigate possible ways of cooperation. In technology bourse
market the investors, business planners, technopreneurs, and owners of the new technology-based ideas
come together and negotiate on the ways of commercializing the existing technology-based businesses
(semi-industrial/pilot plans) or creation of new knowledge-based businesses. The companies can also meet
with their partners and investigate possible ways of cooperation.
Training Seminars and Workshops
In order to disseminate and develop the culture of technopreneurship and to increase general skills in
technopreneurship as well as promoting skills of technopreneurs and Science and Technology Parks and
Incubators’ managers, one or two training seminars will be organized during the Sheikh-Bahai
Technopreneurship Festival with national and international skillful and experienced instructors.
The instructors will be outstanding international STP experts. The participants are also from different
countries. The title of the workshop and the name of the speakers will be announced soon. This year`s
workshop will mostly focus on Commercialization of Technology and methods of attracting investors for
companies.
