Additional emphasis is placed on spelling and pronunciation. Primarily designed for individuals preparing for a career in health care. Define medical words by analyzing their Greek or Latin components. 2. Combine prefixes, suffixes, and word roots to form medical terms. 3. Correctly define, pronounce, and spell medical terms. 4. Recognize meaning of commonly used medical abbreviations. 5. Analyze Greek and Latin roots to define medical terms pertaining to the human body, pathologies and treatments. Assessment measure: Competencies will be assessed through quizzes, tests and discussion board assignments.
