31 Bits Production Internship (Gulu, Uganda) Submission Date: May 20, 2015 Start Date: June, 2015 About 31Bits Designs: 31 Bits Designs is a socially minded business designed to give internally displaced women in Northern Uganda an opportunity to counter poverty. Our program equips women by providing literacy education, financial and vocational training, holistic care, and strong support systems, empowering individuals to further their careers and attain social equity. 31 Bits Designs Production Internship is a position requiring the intern to live and work in Uganda. We ask that the applicant is willing to make a six month commitment. If hired, intern is desired to begin position June, 2015 (start time is negotiable). Production Intern will receive housing, transportation, and a small living stipend. 1. Quality Control: The Production Intern will be working hand-‐in-‐hand with Director of Production to ensure quality of product for 31 Bits Designs. These tasks include: -‐ Checking the quality of products being completed by beneficiaries. -‐ Advising beneficiaries on areas of needed improvement. -‐ Documenting all finished products purchased from beneficiaries. 2. Production The Production Intern will be assisting Director of Production in areas of production. These tasks include: - Tracking production to ensure orders are being completed on time. - Documenting beneficiaries completed products and monthly supplies. - Documenting shipment numbers to send to International Director. - Assist in shipments. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience living, working, or volunteering abroad. They will have knowledge about the 31 Bits Designs organization and be passionate about our mission and vision. The candidate should have a desire to gain knowledge in operations and management.
