AURORA, IL, May 13, 2015 – Less than a year after their successful run at Aurora’s Paramount Theatre, American’s favorite brother and sister duo Donny & Marie are returning for another exclusive Chicago-‐area engagement at downtown Aurora’s 1,888-‐seat Art Deco theater palace, August 12-‐16, 2015. From recording artists to television stars to Vegas headliners, Donny & Marie are the epitome of entertainment superstars. Just ask any of the thousands of people who saw them light up the Paramount last summer. Now this duo is back at it in Aurora, and they’re bringing the songs, the choreography and, of course, the charm. Donny first entered the public eye when he joined his older brothers’ singing group, ”The Osmonds,” and appeared regularly on “The Andy Williams Show.” Donny and Marie both recorded solo albums before joining forces to star on the 70’s TV variety show “Donny & Marie.” In the late 90’s, the duo co-‐hosted their own talk show. About The Paramount Theatre The Paramount Theatre (ParamountAurora.com) is the center for performing arts, entertainment and arts education in Aurora, the second largest city in Illinois. Named "One of Chicago's Top 10 Attended Theatres" by the League of Chicago Theatres, the 1,888-‐seat Paramount, located in downtown Aurora at 23 E. Designed by renowned theater architects C.W. and George L. Rapp, the theater captures a unique Venetian setting portrayed in the art deco influence of the 1930s. In 2006, a 12,000-‐square-‐foot, two-‐story Grand Gallery lobby was added, with a new, state-‐of-‐the-‐art box office, café and art gallery. Today, the Paramount self-‐produces its own Broadway Musical Series, presents an eclectic array of comedy, music, dance and family shows, and on most Mondays, screens a classic movie. The Paramount Theatre is one of three live performance venues programmed and managed by the Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA).
