The congress will begin the 23rd of April, a special and traditional day in Catalonia, when roses and books are in the streets and are given away to friends, colleagues and the loved ones. The scientific programme includes 42 relevant invited speakers distributed in 14 sessions in 2 parallel tracks sessions and 5 sessions for the selected 48 abstracts that will be presented orally. The best 3 oral papers voted by the audience will receive a prize. No posters will be included. The conference will run simultaneously two tracks of lectures and one track of workshops with both inanimate model, as in cadaver and animal models. It is our intention to unite thinking and practice to be better professionals. WORKSHOPS The program will combine scientific, innovation and training programs. Open sessions with other academic disciplines like engineers, physics or informatics will enrich us with new concepts. Special attention will be addressed to discuss the optimal educational curriculum and to debate the frameworks for a respiratory subspecialty. Also, we’ll learn how to manage and establish quality standards for interventional pulmonolgy units during the economical crisis. Not to mention reprocessing advances for bacteriological control. The host city, Barcelona, is a modern and sophisticated city with a very rich cultural life. Barcelona's Moderninst architecture counts with the work of renowned architects, such as Gaudí or Domènech i Muntaner, the creators of emblematic buildings such as the Sagrada Família, la Pedrera or the Hospital de Sant Pau. Old Roman and Middle Age buildings are well preserved and worth visiting to. Barcelona has also a broad offer of leisure opportunities to satisfy and delight delegates. Barcelona can be easily reached, thanks to its airport located southwest of the city, and also by road, by train or by sea. The city counts as well with a convenient and efficient public transport network.
