WELCOME
TENTATIVE PROGRAMME
The 3rd congress of the EABIP will be held in springtime of 2015.
The congress will begin the 23rd of April, a special and traditional day
in Catalonia, when roses and books are in the streets and are given
away to friends, colleagues and the loved ones.
The scientific programme includes 42 relevant invited speakers
distributed in 14 sessions in 2 parallel tracks sessions and 5 sessions
for the selected 48 abstracts that will be presented orally. The best
3 oral papers voted by the audience will receive a prize. No posters
will be included.
The conference will run simultaneously two tracks of lectures and
one track of workshops with both inanimate model, as in cadaver
and animal models. It is our intention to unite thinking and practice
to be better professionals.
WORKSHOPS
The program will combine scientific, innovation and training
programs. Open sessions with other academic disciplines
like engineers, physics or informatics will enrich us with new
concepts. Special attention will be addressed to discuss the
optimal educational curriculum and to debate the frameworks
for a respiratory subspecialty. Also, we’ll learn how to manage and
establish quality standards for interventional pulmonolgy units
during the economical crisis. Not to mention reprocessing advances
for bacteriological control.
If there are topics your are specially interested in, please don’t
hesitate to contact us until 1st of September 2015. We will be kindly
consider them for the scientific program. Please, visit our web site
www.ecbip2015.org and begin to give your ideas and opinion, a
congress 2.0 is here!
The host city, Barcelona, is a modern and sophisticated city with
a very rich cultural life. Barcelona's Moderninst architecture counts
with the work of renowned architects, such as Gaudí or Domènech
i Muntaner, the creators of emblematic buildings such as the
Sagrada Família, la Pedrera or the Hospital de Sant Pau. Old Roman
and Middle Age buildings are well preserved and worth visiting to.
Barcelona has also a broad offer of leisure opportunities to satisfy
and delight delegates.
Barcelona can be easily reached, thanks to its airport located southwest of the city, and also by road, by train or by sea. The city counts
as well with a convenient and efficient public transport network.
Dr Antoni Rosell
President of the Organizing Committee
A total of 19 simultaneous real hands-on workshops of 3 hours each
will be programmed during the congress. Each workshop is limited
to 5-15 persons depending on the model used (phantom, animal or
cadaver). The 19 simultaneous workshops will be repeated 5 times
during the dates of the congress. Attendance to workshops: 2, 1 or
none according to limited places and the selected registration fee.
