Our member agencies provide services to assist newcomers in becoming fully integrated members of Alberta society. Examples of services include orientation, interpretation, counseling, employment services, educational assistance, and programs for immigrant youth. AAISA’s mission is to facilitate collaboration and leadership within the settlement serving sector. Through our work we envision an inclusive welcoming and engaged society. AAISA’s Biennial Settlement Conference brings together a variety of settlement and integration stakeholders such as settlement and career practitioners, counsellors, leaders, supervisors, and management staff from diverse organizations across Alberta and the Western Region. The conference facilitates the professionalization of the sector through thematic plenary and concurrent sessions and recognizes settlement practitioners for the professional achievements.
