Virtual Port is an automated GIS based system that collects, sorts and stores data
for the purpose of visually displaying information for security and business
operations. The system’s main focus is giving situational awareness and identifying
potential impacts to Port operations. Virtual Port provides a real time picture of Port
activities with automated data exchanges, flagged web based information and direct
operator inputs. This asset provides information to both of the San Pedro Bay Ports
and their regional stakeholders.
