“Implementing Career Pathways for smaller, rural
programs and lower level students”
Jeff Fantine
@jfantine
• Pathway v. Model
A model pulls in all services that
will help a student engage a
particular pathway.
• Build partnerships
• Add career context
• What are you already
doing? And add __?
3 Models Fantine is seeing:
• IBEST: works well
for higher level
students in large
programs. Highly
coordinated team
teaching. Cohorts.
• Integrated and
Contextualized
Classes: Basic skills
in context.
• Separate Career
Classes: Job training
may be by a partner.
