GRADUATION HONOR GUARD - The Academy of Holy Angels

GRADUATION HONOR GUARD
Key Information
Greetings!
As you prepare for graduation, there’s one thing we’d like you to think about. Each year at Graduation,
brothers and sisters of the graduating seniors serve as Graduation Honor Guard. (Siblings must be
current AHA students.) The Honor Guard leads the graduates in and out of Celebration Day and
Graduation.
Participation in Honor Guard is optional, but it is a wonderful tradition and is very meaningful for the
graduates and their families.
Please read the following information carefully and let me know if you have any questions (I have
highlighted important dates that you need to be aware of).
Again, thank you for your interest in being an Honor Guard – Mrs. Wicklund
Mandatory Meeting:
We will have a mandatory meeting after school at 2:50 on Wednesday, May 20th, in room 2495 (Mrs.
Wicklund’s room). We will talk about expectations, do a preliminary line-up, and do a quick walk
through of the graduation route (and possibly try on robes). It’s very important that you attend this
meeting, because it is our only meeting.
Robe Fitting:
 Will take place in room 2495 after school on each of the following days:
 Wednesday, May 13th
 Wednesday, May 20th; Thursday, May 21st
 Tuesday, May 26th; Wednesday, May 27th
 You must come on one of these days to be fitted with a robe!
 Robe hemlines need to be 10" from the floor with your shoes on. We measure the robe wearing
the shoes that you will wear for the ceremony.
 Keep your robe on a hanger and wrinkle free.
 Robes will be stored in the room across from the chapel, but you must see Mrs. Wicklund in room
2495 about being fitted.

Dark Blue or Black Dress Pants

days.
