Gold Star Ballroom in South Daytona which has a 4200 sq. ft.
floating foor, has been selected to host the 2015 Dance Spree.
Friday, May 1 Schedule:
5:30 pm Registration Open at
Gold Star Ballroom
The annual USA Dance Chapter President's meeting will be on
Saturday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. with lunch included.
Don Davenport, District 9 Area Coordinator, will be conducting
the President's meeting.
6:00 pm Bolero or Samba
workshop / with Joe Mounts
7:00 pm - Dinner & Dance
8:00 pm - Welcome and
IntroductionsChapter Parade- Team Match
9:00 pm - Exhibition
For the rest of you - Join us for the 19th ANNUAL DANCE SPREE
WEEKEND!
9:30 pm - Jack and Jill Contest
then General dancing resumes
until 11 pm.
Its' an all Day Saturday Workshops, all levels, exhibitions, fun
contests, Saturday lunch and dinner included on Friday and
Saturday. With exhibitions on Friday and Saturday evening
included.
Saturday, May 2 Schedule:
The Super 8 hotel, a short 2 miles away will be lodging our
guests with a great rate of $69.95 + tax.

Team Match on Friday night
If you would like to be on a Team pick up a form at registration.
Team Match instructions:
You will need six to eight people on a team, with a minimum of
two women or two men (example: 3 each, or 2 and 4).
You will need one couple for each dance:
Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz and Cha Cha.
* The same couple cannot dance more than once, but the same
man or woman can dance twice with another person.
1 pm - Bolero
2 pm - Hustle
3 pm - Cha Cha
4 pm- Samba
Rhythm Dance workshops
Beginning and Intermediate
levels with Joe, Felix & Annie.
All chapters are encouraged to form a Team
5:00 - 7:00 pm - FREE TIMErest and get ready for tonight
A Jack and Jill is a lead/follow contest where you will dance
with several random partners, being judged on your ability to
lead and follow one another, your connection, technique,
partnership, and musicality. Make sure you smile and have fun!
7:00 pm - Semi-Formal Dinner

Announcing the Instructors
Viorel and Angela Ionita, from Dance Mirage, have danced
competively in Latin and Standard and have a strong technique
based dance sport education. They are appreciated for their
ability for bringing out the best in their students and help you
master the steps.
8:00 pm- Dancing - Exhibitions,
mixers and general dancing
Joe Mounts, independent instructor from Ormond Beach started
as a student with Arthur Murray in Orlando, later Joe became a
certified dance professional with Fred Astaire Studios. Now, in
the Daytona Beach area, Joe continues to share his 25+ years
experience and enjoys watching the benefits of dance change
people's lives.
Felix Solis, is the owner and dance instructor of Classic
Ballroom Dancing, St. Augustine. He has been teaching since
1980.
Annie Hawkins, studied Ballet, Modern, Jazz,and
Contemporary dance;performing extensively with the Florida
Ballet before switching to ballroom. She is certified
in American Rhythm and Smooth styles.
