you to sign up for alerts to tell you when your wash
is complete. Further information will be provided

expensive. Sheffield has a great public transport
system, so we advise that you don’t bring a car
with you.

Student Insurance Block Policy, which means that
contents insurance is included as part of your rent.
Depending on the value of your personal items
your insurance can be upgraded, information will
be provided along with your residence contract.
Safety and Security
There’s a dedicated team of University Security
staff who patrol the residences and monitor the
extensive CCTV coverage to look after your safety
and security 7 days a week.
Residence Life
Resident Mentors are experienced students who are
happy to support you during your time in University
accommodation and ensure a positive living
experience for everyone. Your Resident Mentor will
come to your accommodation and greet you during
your first few weeks here. They’ll visit regularly
while you’re living in University accommodation
and can answer a lot of questions and help you deal
with issues such as noise and disagreements if they
arise. You will receive more information and contact
details when you arrive.
