Accommodation
Stephenson provides catered accommodation for 268 residents in single study
bedrooms. The focal point for Endcliffe is The Edge, which provides a wide range of
facilities including a dining room, café, bar, launderette and social and meeting space for
all residents. Located at the heart of Endcliffe is The Village Store, which is a one stop shop
for student essentials.
How far?
Getting around campus
Stephenson is within a 20 minute walk of the
main University and the Students’ Union. A
comprehensive range of shops are available in
Broomhill, just 5 minutes’ walk away. There are
frequent bus services to the city centre and main
University buildings, which charge special student
fares.
Catered Accommodation
Catered accommodation is available on a 42 week
contract. A catered food allowance is added each
week onto a GeniUS Card for the 31 weeks of
term time. The remaining 11 weeks are on a room
only basis. No food allowance is added during
the Christmas and Easter vacations or when the
Spring Semester finishes in June. Please note,
you do not have to vacate your rooms during the
vacation periods. If you don’t use the full amount
of cash loaded onto your GeniUS Card the balance
will remain on the card for you to use another
time.
The GeniUS Card is issued upon arrival. The
GeniUS Card is very flexible and can be used
in any of the venues across the University that
carry the slogan “Designed and Operated by US”,
including the outlets in Endcliffe and Ranmoor.
Further details about the weekly allowance and
the GeniUS Card can be found at the following
website: withus.com/catered-students
The dates of letting periods are shown on the
front page of the residence contract and the
weekly food allowance is detailed in the Terms
and Conditions of contract.
