Cute Christmas Cupcakes
Christmas is coming and
that means it’s the perfect
time to make some tasty
festive treats!
Use our super easy recipe to make some sparkly chocolate
cupcakes that taste great too!
WHAT YOU NEED:
Chocolate cake mix – Ask a grown up to help you with choosing the right
cake for mix for you., 1 medium egg , 60ml (4 tbsp) semi skimmed milk, 25ml
(5tbsp) vegetable oil, 80g Softened unsalted butter
OUR FAVE CHRISTMAS CUPCAKE RECIPE:
1. Ask an adult to pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees c / fan 160 degrees / gas
mark 4
2. Place the cupcake cases in a muffin tray and add the cupcake mix, egg, milk,
oil into a bowl
3. Mix with an electric or hand whisk for 1 minute, divide the mix equally
between the 6 cases – Warning! This could get messy…but don’t forget to lick
the bowl! Mmmm…
4. Place into the centre of the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden
brown. Be careful, that oven is hot! Always ask a grown up to help.
5. Once baked leave to cool in the tray for 5 minutes before transferring onto
a wire rack. Your cakes will look yummy but be careful, as they need to
cool before you put your sparkly decorations on them.
6. Melt the chocolate chips by immersing the chocolate
chip sachet in very hot water - Warning! Ask a grown up to help you with the
water!
7. Whisk the frosting mix with the butter until light and fluffy, then using a
spoon, fold in the melted chocolate. Have a go at wmixing your ingredients as
hard as you can – this will make the frosting super fluffy and easy to spread on
your cakes!
