Our youngest runners are certainly setting the standard this season. Two more midget runners have shown they can run well above their age grade. At the last run Mackenzie Murray finished 1st and Farlon Barber 2nd ahead of the rest of the intermediate grade. Club runners dominated at the ANZAC Day races at Dalefield. The first 5 runners home in the 10 km were Michael Macklin, Dominic Green, Derek Cox, Tim Mathews and Malcolm MacDonald. Annie Jerling won the women’s race. Masterton-Bush Interclub – Bradbury Trophy - May 10th Not helping out at the Primary Schools XC Race on Mothers’ Day? Join the ACM team for the annual Masterton-Bush interclub and help retain the trophy. Always a great event, it is again hosted by Rob Ruffe-Thomas, Mangaramarama Road, Pahiatua. (See ACM website for map). It’s points racing over all grades. Men run 8km, women and walkers do 4km and kids shorter distances. It’s a family event which caters for all abilities, so join in. Racing starts at 1.00pm. Meet at the Sports Bowl at 11.30 pm to share a ride. This event also counts for the ACM mens Askew trophies. Please bring a plate to contribute to the legendary Bush afternoon tea.
