Good Luck Andrew Elliot!
Please join all of us in wishing one of our valuable
team members a fond farewell! Andrew Elliot, who is Dr.
Kamal Elliot’s older son, left A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid
Center on August 19 to pursue a career in Cyber Security.
Andrew was a member of the A&E support team for
over seven years, and joined the clinical team in 2008
upon becoming Board Certified as a Hearing Instrument
Specialist. His technical skills and hearing care-focused
approach to his work delighted coworkers and patients
alike.
Andrew has started in a Network & Information
Security Engineer position at a telecommunications
company that provides clearinghouse and directory
services to the global communications and internet
industries. Andrew and his fiancée, Samara Diemer, also
an A&E team member, will be living in Sterling, VA, right
outside of the capital beltway. Samara will be staying

onboard in a managing capacity beginning in October.
Upon leaving A&E Audiology, Andrew reflected “As
I take this step toward a new opportunity, I am optimistic
about the future but I know I will really miss everyone at
A&E - both the staff and the
patients. Every day here was
rewarding and enjoyable. I
always loved meeting new
patients and welcoming
existing patients back to our
practice.”
A native of Lancaster,
Andrew is a graduate of
Millersville University, where
he received a bachelor of
science degree in computer
science in 2013.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This October, Dr. Kamal Elliot, Au.D. is combining
her passion for bringing better hearing to Lancaster
County with support for a cause that resonates with
many community residents. During National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month, A&E Audiology and Hearing
Aid Center will participate in the national “Pink with a
Purpose” campaign to help raise funds for breast cancer
research. Throughout September and October, leading
hearing care manufacturer Oticon, Inc. will donate a
portion of proceeds from the sale of a special edition
Think Pink Alta and all Alta hearing devices to the
National Breast Cancer Coalition.
“Breast cancer is an issue that touches many people
on a very personal level,” said Dr. Kamal Elliot, Au.D.
“Everyone knows someone – a mother, daughter, sister,
grandmother or friend who has been diagnosed with
breast cancer. The Pink with a Purpose allows me to
continue my focus on improving the hearing health of
Welcome Eric Elliot!
We at A&E Audiology are pleased to announce the
addition of a new team member. Eric Elliot, Dr. Kamal
Elliot’s son, was welcomed to the practice on August 19
as Business Manager.
“I am very honored to join the A&E Audiology
family. As I pursued my education and career in
business, I always imagined joining a full-service,
family-centered, regional medical practice such
as A&E. I look forward to becoming part of the
community, both in the practice and beyond,” Eric said.
“I have found the practice staff very welcoming
and knowledgeable. It is very clear that we
genuinely care about the patients and providing the
people and at the same time, support research to find
a cure for a disease that represents one of every three
cancers diagnosed in women.”
This year, the special edition Think Pink Alta provides
a way for people with hearing loss to show their
support for breast cancer awareness and benefit from
a hearing solution that provides a richer, more
personalized sound experience.
“With Alta, you hear more because your personal
hearing preferences are actually used by the powerful
sound processing chip that is at the heart of every
Alta hearing device,” explains Dr. Kamal Elliot, Au.D.
“Think of it as a micro-brain that works in harmony
with your brain so you can differentiate sounds
better and hear more, even as you move from
one difficult hearing environment to another.
Because Alta works smarter, you don’t have to
work harder at hearing.”
highest quality of care. I look forward to meeting and
working alongside everyone
here. I believe that teamwork
and communication are key
to providing the best hearing
health care, and it is obvious
that they do just that.”

Eric attended American

Your Success Stories
"It was a pleasure dealing with A&E and
more specifically Dr. Kimberly Kelly. Kim was
very patient and knowledgeable about available
products. After using an “in the ear” device for
more than 15 years, I now have a behind the ear
unit and I notice a significant improvement in my
hearing. Kim not only listened to my concerns but
she “heard” them as well. I’m very appreciative of
her services."
-Arthur McCormack, Lancaster, PA
"Hearing aids from A&E Audiology have
been one of the best investments I have made.
A&E has the latest technology in hearing aids
and accessories that have greatly improved my
hearing for social, business and especially for
my family. The service that Dr. Steelman has
provided is incredible! For professional and
skilled audiologists, A&E Audiology is who I
recommend."
