Preregistration is required for all classes. Please indicate on your registration form, any accommodations needed to effectively participate in the class for which you wish to register. Examples of accommodations include, but are not limited to: 2. Classes and activities will be held unless you are notified that they are full or cancelled. 3. Transportation to and from the class or activity is the responsibility of the participant or care provider. 4. Caregivers must accompany the students to check in and out of class each night with the teachers. Participants should report directly to the classroom teacher no more than 15 minutes before the listed class time and should be picked up promptly when event is scheduled to end. Please notify Metro Mobility of the beginning and ending times of classes or activities. 5. Participants who require personal assistance for physical and/or behavioral issues must be accompanied and supervised in classes by a primary caregiver. Group homes and families must identify these individual’s needs. If a behavioral incident occurs, a primary care giver may be required to accompany the participant to all future classes and trips. 6. Access Services activities are sponsored by the Minneapolis Public Schools. As you are planning for services and supports you may want to consider this funding option. Often, the use of funds needs to be paired with a goal within the person’s individual plan. All ability levels welcome. Fee includes games and shoes. Number of participants is limited, so sign up right away! Memory Lanes is located at 2520 26th Ave. S. Northeast April 15 Swimming: Adult & Family Open Swim Come enjoy a swim in the Northeast pool! Participants must be able to enter and exit the pool by ladder. If attending with support staff, they must be in the locker rooms: Men with Men and Women with Women. If assistance is needed in the pool, support staff must be in the water also. Bring your own shampoo and towel. Shower shoes are recommended but not required. Swims are free, but preregistration is required. Northeast April 17 Computer Fun This extremely popular class will guide you through word processing skills, playing games, drawing pictures, using email and surfing the Internet. Use Wii games to experience a whole new way to get your exercise. Wii simulations emphasize controlled movements rather than overexertion. Most of our classes are held in the evening or on weekends and are 1½-3 hours in length. The majority of our classes are held in School District buildings within Minneapolis.
