DCGS-A System Overview
•
DCGS-A is Fielded to INSCOM and every Corps, Division, and Brigade across
the globe
•
Is a ‘System of Systems’ that includes Fixed Sites, deployable ground stations,
and organic headquarters and unit equipment (servers/laptops)
•
Provides ~60 intelligence analysis tools and access to ~700 data sources,
which deliver actionable information to Warfighting Commanders

Weather, Terrain, Link Analysis, etc.

Overview

Overarching Acquisition Strategy/Status
– Iterative increments, with multiple software releases per increment
– Achieved 2 Major Acquisition Milestones in 2012 (Inc 1 MS C and FDD)

Inc 1 Program
– Release 1 is in Post FDD Fielding
– Release 2 is in Testing (Field DT 2 in Sep 14 & LUT in May 2015 at NIE 15.2)

Inc 2 Program
– Initial funding for program started in FY15
– Converted IS CDD in staffing and is the foundation for the Inc 2 Requirements
Definition Package (RDP)
• Includes new KPPs and KSAs
– Iterative RFI process to obtain Industry feedback prior to RFP
– Focus on Data Integration, Analytics, and Visualization capabilities
– Milestone documentation development and acquisition planning effort underway

Summary
 DCGS-A is a robust ‘System of Systems’ and intelligence capability
 Inc 1 Release 1 is fielded across the Army
 Inc 1, Release 2 FOT&E at NIE 15.2 completed 14 May 2015
 Inc 2 will continue to address user feedback with Industry input,
leading to a Contract award in FY16.
