Dear Cross Country friends,
I’m sorry for the confusion caused
by the changes in the cross country
fixtures this last few days. We have
one more change:
Please note that the Runavation
Cross Country Night Race will move
back to Friday evening (15 May)
(NOT SATURDAY 16 MAY like I stated
in Circular 4), but at Eldoraigne High
School. The event will start at 17:00
(last event starts at 19:05).

Hopefully this will allow athletes to fulfil the requirement of two leagues to be selected into the AGN team
for Tzaneen. It is very difficult to select a team where athletes only participated in one league event. The
selector will look at deserving cases, but we would like to encourage athletes to try and take part in at least
two leagues to secure your place in the AGN team.

Directions to Eldoraigne High School
From Witbank
Follow the N4 highway and turn left onto the Hans Strydom (M10) off ramp.
Follow Hans Strydom for about 30 km. (You will cross Garsfontein Road, Delmas Road (R50), past Waterkloof
Airforce Base, Kruger Avenue, Trichartd Avenue and Ashwood Road. After about 700 m you will cross the Old
Johannesburg Road (R101).Drive on for 1,2 km and keep left at the four way crossing in Saxby Avenue.
Continue in Saxby Avenue for about 550 m and turn left into Hilton (Second Street left).
Continue for 30 m to the stop street and turn left into Christopher Road.
Follow Christopher Road and you will find the school on your right.
From Rustenburg
Follow the N4 highway (Brits/Rustenburg). Take the N1 highway (direction Johannesburg).
Cross Zambezi Road, Stormvoël Road, Lynnwood Road, Atterbury Road (Menlyn Centre).
After about 5 km turn left onto the Rigel Avenue off ramp. Turn left at the robot.
Turn right at the second robot into Hans Strydom (M10).
Follow Hans Strydom (across Garsfontein Road, Delmas Road (R50), past Waterkloof Airforce Base, Kruger Avenue,
Trichardt Avenue and Ashwood Road).
About 700 m after Ashwood Road, cross Old Johannesburg Road (R101).
Continue for 1,2 km and keep left at the four way crossing and turn left at Saxby Avenue.
Follow Saxby Avenue for about 550 m and turn left into Hilton (second street right).
Continue for 30 m to the stop street and turn left into Christopher Road.

From Polokwane
Follow the N1 highway (direction Johannesburg).

Follow the N1 Highway – Ben Schoeman (direction Pretoria). Keep left and take the N14 off-ramp direction Pretoria.
Take the Jean Avenue/Centurion (M34) off-ramp. Turn left at the robot in Lyttleton Road. Continue for 2,3km.
At the 4th robot, cross Old Johannesburg Road (R101).
Keep straight on. Drive across Ruimte Road at the second robot. Turn left into the first street. Keep left at the circle
and take the first exit (left) into Cradock Street.
Follow Cradock until you reach a circle. Turn right at the circle. (Christopher Road).
Follow Christopher Road for about 50m. The school gate is on your left.
From Oliver Tambo Airport
Follow the R21 highway (direction Pretoria). Take the M10 Hans Strydom/Lyttleton off-ramp. Turn left at the robot in
Hans Strydom. (M10).
Continue for 7.8 (across Garsfontein Road, Delmas Road (R50), past Waterkloof Airforce Base, Kruger Avenue,
Trichardt Avenue and Ashwood Road).
About 700m after Ashwood road, cross Old Johannesburg Road (R101).
Continue or 1,2km and keep left at the four way crossing and turn left at Saxby Avenue.
Follow Saxby Avenue for about 550m and turn left into Hilton (second street right).
Continue for 30 m to the stop street and turn left into Christopher Road.

FROM PRETORIA CITY
Take Potgieter road, past the prison on your right.
The road splits, take the Ben Schoeman (R28) until you get Jean ave/Centurion (M34) off ramp.
Turn right at the robot, drive for approximately 3 km. At the 4th robot you cross the Old Johannesburg road. Jean
ave now becomes Saxby ave. Keep going, at the 2nd robot you cross Ruimte ave.
The first street after that you turn left (Cradock ave.), keep going till you get to
Christopher ave (small circle). Turn right – next to the crèche on your left – the school gate
