The training session will cover: I-9 and hiring compliance; compliance with discrimination laws, which will include real case summaries where employers have been held liable for immigration-related discrimination; work visa programs that are typically used by the agricultural industry; certain visa programs to help with labor shortages or to fill key positions that are impossible to staff; the SSA no-match letters; mandatory E-Verify; dealing with government audits and inspections; AB60 (DL Implementation); developing corporate hiring procedures and policy. This immigration course is comprehensive and will help HR professionals identify legal and personnel issues to help bolster company compliance and avoid liabilities. *This course is a 3-hour elective for HRPA Program.
