May 27, 2015 Association Executives & Signatory Contractors The June 1, 2015 Wage Allocation letter from Cement Masons Local 502 contained a total amount for fringe benefit allocations but it did not have an itemized breakdown of how much was being allocated to each specific fringe benefit. As the Wage Allocation letter indicates, the total amount Local 502 allocated to “fringes” is $1.62. To that end, I contacted Local 502 President, Patrick LaCassa, and asked him for a breakdown of the $1.62. He verbally committed to me the following allocations to the fringe benefits: $1.21 Pension Fund $0.35 Health & Welfare Fund $0.03 Apprentice Fund $0.03 LMCC Fund _____________________ $1.62 Total The $1.62 total fringe allocation coupled with the wage allocation of $0.65 equates to the $2.27 increase in accordance with the parties collective bargaining agreement. If there are any questions, please contact MARBA. Sincerely, Aaron Janik Executive Director
