ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prospective students presenting Senior High
School or Secondary school or other advanced
credentials will be placed into the appropriate
semester.
Placement is made based upon the evaluations
and review of the applicant’s transcript, which
determines the appropriate entry point into the
Pre-Medical Program. Applicants may also be
required to take specific courses before qualifying
to enter the Program.
1.NORTH AMERICAN STUDENTS
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
3. NON-NORTH AMERICAN STUDENTS
(a) If English is not the Principal Language the
applicant must achieve a score of at least 600
on the paper based or 250 on the computer
based version of the Test of English as a Foreign
Language ( TOEFL)
(b) Undergraduate level credits that include
science foundation courses or a minimum of 30
undergraduate level credits that including a few
natural science foundation courses or applicants
must have a high school diploma with high
academic achievement.
A minimum of 60 University/College undergraduate
level credits that include all science foundation
courses or a minimum of 30 University /college
undergraduate level credits that include a few science
foundation courses or applicants must have a high
school diploma with high academic achievement.
TUITION AND FEES
High scores in the sciences and SAT are extremely
important.
FINANCIAL AID
2. CARIBBEAN STUDENTS
Strong Passes in GCE /CXC Advanced Levels or
its equivalent in Mathematics, English, Sciences
(Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated
Science, Agriculture Science, Human Biology)
(Applicants at this level would be placed into
an appropriate semester within the pre-medical
program which is determined by the transcript
and other advanced credentials).

PRE-MEDICAL
PROGRAM
Applicants must provide a financial plan
indicating adequate funding for the duration of
the complete pre-medical program, supported
by bank statements.
TUITION:
Premed $4,500 per semester
Guyanese & Other CARICOM Students can apply
for Regional Awards.
Canadian Students should check with their
respective provinces for the availability of
Government Financial Aid to attend AISM.
AISM do provide alternative financial arrangements
for the payment of tuition and fees. Check with

CURRICULUM
Our Premedical program may be completed in 1
to 3 years, depending on your academic standing
on application and evaluation.
Each student’s curriculum includes the core
premedical courses in chemistry, biology, and
physics. Additional courses in calculus, statistics,
upper-division sciences, and humanities or social
sciences electives may be chosen in consultation
with the faculty advisor according to each
student’s background and interests.
Upon successful completion of this intense
program, students are offered the opportunity to
matriculate into medical school or for the study
of any of the allied health sciences Program.
