Prom – HS Prom is just around the corner! It will be held on May 15 from 7:30-10:30 pm. Dance guest forms are in the office. Theme: Around the World. Buy tickets in the office for $25 per couple! The statewide FAFSA Completion Night events started in February. Attend this event for free professional help in filling out and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. All students from 712th grades are welcome to tryout. Requests for transcripts need to be made by filling out our Transcript Order form. These forms can be picked up in the main office. Once the form is complete, return the transcript request to the office for processing. Transcripts requests need to be made seven days prior to the transcript deadline. Monday – Crazy Hat Day IMPORTANT FOR SENIORS: Remember, if you are missing your 0.5 Computer Technology credit, this class must be taken through Electronic High School. You can register for the course here: https://share.ehs.uen.org/classes. All carryover classes from trimesters 1 and/or 2 or any make-up credits through EHS or other outside agencies, must be completed by May 19th. If you are taking a class through EHS, SLCC, or another school for credit towards your graduation, we must receive the official transcript by May 19th, otherwise you will be at risk for not graduating. Thursday – Extreme Hair Day HS Spirit Week – May 11-15 Tuesday – Funky Sock Day Wednesday – Superhero Day (no masks) Friday – School Colors Coming Next Month: JUNE Graduation – AISU will have its first ever Senior Graduation on June 5th at 4 pm in the Performing Arts Center. It is free for anyone who would like to come support the AISU Class of 2015! Scholarship opportunity. I wanted to let you know about the Jump$tart Financial Literacy Scholarship opportunity for all seniors, regardless of citizenship. For more information go to http://www.utahjumpstart.org/ Summer school. AISU will support a six-‐week summer school session, beginning June 8th and ending July 17th. Students may attend remotely or at school, although some classes require at least some attendance on-‐site. Teachers will be available at school during summer school from 8:30am-‐12:30pm, except July 3rd. If on-‐site classes are required, they will be held during this morning time frame. The fee for each course is $75, payable in advance. However, students getting ahead will get a 100% refund of the fee if they complete the course during summer school. Also, there is no fee for summer school for students finishing courses they took in 3rd trimester. One registration form is required for each class. Registration forms will be available in the office beginning Friday, April 24th. The last day to register for summer school is May 19th. If a student registers for summer school for credit completion and ends up not needing summer school, the registration fee will be returned. Middle & High School - Add/Drop Policy All add/drop deadlines have passed! There will be no more class changes accepted. If you are interested in the Regents' Scholarship, please make an appointment for a consultation meeting with an official Regents' Scholarship representative. These representatives will be able to help students plan out their courses and give all of the needed information to ensure how students can qualify for this scholarship. Once logged in, they will be prompted to change their password if they haven’t already done so. Par ents may login using the above website or create an account by clicking on request username. They will need their student’s ID number. If your student doesn't know their four digit student ID number, the office has that information. This is also a way to find your student’s teacher’s contact info. Don't forget to login with your child so they can show you their progress on their online platforms. You are always the best resource to Intensive information. We will send the notification of what intensive the students are enrolled in by Friday, May 15th. Please remember that priority registration goes to seniors and then is a first come first served basis. It is important that students register as soon as they are sent the registration form if they hope to get their first choice intensive. No changes to intensives will be permitted after the second day of intensives (Friday, May 22nd). JOIN A CLUB! You can view your student's current progress, scores in online assignments, daily goals, and Own it! profile. There's also a quick link to email his or her success coach, and a section of tips curated for AISU parents. Use the Feedback button to let us know what you think, and what features you'd like to see in future releases.
