Pump Chamber
The chamber receives
influent liquid from
the basin or sink. As the
level in the chamber rises,
the float switch rises and
activates the pump. The
pump then discharges
the liquid causing
the level to fall
and thus turning
the pump off.
Installation of any Ultima Compact
is quick and easy with all internal
plumbing & valving fitted out in the
chamber, leaving just two connections
to be plumbed in (or three if the
Ultima vent filter is not used).
Any controllers supplied are fitted with quick-plug connections
for all wired components, making the electrical work as simple
as possible and removing the need for an electrician.
Choosing the right chamber for your application is made easy with
a range of standard units available. It is best to use a larger chamber
if space allows as this will give the pump more operating room.
The Ultima Compact range offers a stainless steel chamber in 40
Litre, 70 Litre and 90 Litre versions and a polyethylene 40 Litre
version for non high temperature applications (refer to page 3 for
dimensions). Other special build sizes are available on request.

PumpS
A small electric
submersible pump is
the heart of the system.
It is mounted in the
chamber and plumbed
to a 32mm threaded
discharge connection
with a disconnection
union, bronze nonreturn valve and
isolation valve.
Pump Selection
Flow capacities range up
to 230 L/min, with head
pressures up to 11 metres
and for applications
outside of these ranges,
a special system can be
custom built.

OPTIONS
For applications
where it is difficult
to vent the undersink
sullage chamber to
outside atmosphere,
an activated carbon
filter cartridge can
be fitted to the
chamber vent.
CARBON FILTER CARTRIDGE
HIGH LEVEL ALARM PANEL
This unique filter effectively stops
any odours escaping from the unit,
therefore removing the need for
an external vent.
An Ultima high level alarm panel will monitor the level in the chamber via a signal from
a secondary float switch and raise an alarm if the pump is unable to discharge the liquid.
The audible alarm has a mute button or will auto-mute after 5 minutes, whilst the light
continues to flash until the problem is rectified.
The Ultima high level alarm can be purchased in a flush-mounting HL2 version (only the size
of a standard switch plate!) & ‘polycarbonate enclosure HL1 version 180mm high x 230mm
wide x 90mm deep.

DISHWASHER
& WATER SUPPLY INTERLOCK
Additional features available for the Ultima high level alarm
panel are the Dishwasher Interlock and Water Supply Interlock.
In the event of high level the Dishwasher Interlock System
immediately isolates power to the Dishwasher, ensuring that
no further ‘inflow’ to the chamber occurs.
Similarly, in the event of a high level the Valve Interlock System
isolates water flow to the sink by way of closing a solenoid valve,
ensuring no further black water is discharged from the sink into
the chamber.
Another feature of this system is that, in the event of
a power failure (the pump not being able to pump),
the valve is automatically closed.
