Member Anniversaries & Welcome New Members Message from the President Message from the President – April 2015 Warm Spring greetings to all our members and friends! The Chapter year is winding down and we are fast approaching the annual PDC, which this year, is to be held in Dallas, TX from June 8-10, with pre-conference activities starting on June 6th and post conference activities extending through the 12th. If you haven’t signed up, do so quickly and make your hotel arrangements soon as well. Society elections are well underway, and hopefully you have taken the opportunity to exercise your vote. Our elections will take place at our May 22nd Chapter meeting, so please plan to attend. The proposed slate of officers, as endorsed by the executive committee is in this newsletter. I would like to extend a special thank you to the Team at Honda in Lincoln, AL for their gracious hosting of our March meeting. This is the second time since 2012 we were able to make the trip to tour the manufacturing and assembly plant and Steve Tunnell, Brad Harris and the entire team did a wonderful job, leading us on the very first tour of the new engine assembly line and an entertaining and informative Q&A afterwards. Please join us for our Chapter meeting this month. On April 24th we will have our “Chapter Recognition” luncheon, and for the fourth year we will recognize our Chapter SPYs, Student Scholarship recipients, and our members with major service anniversaries within the Chapter year (July-June). If you are celebrating a membership anniversary (10, 15, 20, and 25 ….years of membership) we would love to recognize you! We will also be honored to have the ASSE President, Trish Ennis, join us along with our RVP, Pam Perrich. Please plan on coming out for a meet and greet with Trish on Thursday night, April 23rd in downtown Birmingham. The details are in this newsletter and in through individual e-mails. I thank you all for your continued service, and welcome your thoughts and comments on how our Chapter can better serve you. Yours In Safety, Kurt M.
