Discover Scuba Diving
For those interested in coming face to face with
some of the oceans oldest creatures we are
pleased to offer dive experiences in the
Aquaventure Shark Lagoon, Atlantis, The Palm.
Join Al Boom Diving for an amazing dive in a lagoon
filled with sharks of all sizes. Non-certified divers
can experience the thrill of coming face to face
with a variety of marine life including guitar sharks,
bow mouth sharks, white tip, black tip and grey
reef sharks, cow nose rays, southern stingrays and
several species of reef fish during an exciting 30
minute dive. This can be done by doing the
Discover Scuba Diving program. We will train you
to dive while teaching you about sharks and the
underwater environment before taking you for a
30 minute dive in the Shark Lagoon at Aquaventure
Waterpark in Atlantis, The Palm.
Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory part of
scuba diving. During this activity you will do the
classroom session and the pool training for the
basic skills of scuba diving followed by the shark
tank dive. Please note that after completing this
program you will only receive a certificate of participation this does not serve as a license for a fully
qualified diver but counts towards your open water
qualification (sign up for the open water course
within 14 days of completing the Discover Scuba
Course, to receive a discount on the full course:
• Shark Dive takes place underwater utilizing scuba gear
• Participants need to be confident swimmers and
at least 10 years old
• Limited to just 3 persons per dive
• 30 minutes in the water at a maximum depth of 6.5m
• Discover interesting information about sharks, rays
and marine life during your dive briefing
• All dive equipment is provided
• Gopro 3 rental available for capturing this unique
experience for only 200 AED

• All students need to be medically fit and need to sign a medical form to this effect. Please answer
the attached medical questionnaire with a YES or a NO. If, you have answered YES to any of the
questions then you must provide a Medical Certificate from a diving physician stating that you are
fit to dive.
