Sin embargo, no hay duda alguna que abrir tu

exitoso.
El programa Conexión Empresarial de

un negocio. Asista a nuestro taller de micro
empresas para aprender: “¿Que se necesita

to have scouts observe your skills and possibly receive scholarships. Elite will also provide a scholarship to our grad4:00-6:00 pm
uating seniors that have played Elite their Junior year. When we put together this league we did it with the intention
to make it at reasonable cost. We meet Mondays and Wednesdays 530 to 730 at the Macarthur High School gym.
as we celebrate how East Aldine Works. Lets share our stories
The cost is $10 per session. When we have tournaments the cost will be announced at that time. This year being
through conversations and pictures on what makes
our first year we were unable to
participate in tournaments but for next year we will be going up against local
club teams. In the summer there will be opportunities to play against local teams. Come train with old friends and

meet new ones. We have lots of fun! We also plan trips to observe college teams! If you have any questions please
Leading up to this session we want you to explore “East Aldine” and

take pictures of what you enjoy about your community. Last year
when during our conversations with the community one thing was
clear East Aldine is resilient community with deep roots and pride.
This will be a fun evening of story telling and reflection of our
friends and neighbors in our community. These are the stories that
help shape who we are and we are excited to see and listen.

Lone Star College-Dream Act Forum
On April 22, Lone Star College-North Harris hosted its first Civic Engagement Forum for students, discussing the
future of the Texas DREAM Act. The continuation of the DREAM Act, which provides access to in-state tuition for
eligible, undocumented students, is currently being debated in the Texas Legislature. Eighty-five students and
employees, and four Board Trustees participated in the forum. The forum was organized as part of the college’s
ongoing effort to engage students and community members in a productive dialogue about important issues. It
served as an excellent reminder of the value of having a community that is informed and involved in the legislative
process. Future forums, on a variety of topics, are expected to be organized at LSC-North Harris in the future
