Who are the AdvoCats?
The Aledo Children’s AdvoCats is a nonprofit
organization of women committed to raising charitable
funds to help fulfill and aid the unmet needs of children
and their families in the Aledo area. 100% of fundraiser
money is used toward such charitable efforts as medical
expenses, clothing, living expenses, wheelchairs, dental
care, school supplies and counseling. Aledo Children’s
AdvoCats is a non-exclusive organization and all women
are welcome to join.
AdvoCats has donated more than $600,000 back to the
community since it was established in 2002. Last year,
the AdvoCats were able to give more than $30,000 to
over 300 children. It is our goal to not only provide
such basic needs as food and medical services, but also
to provide children with the opportunity to participate
in extracurricular activities, such as band, sports and
4H, just like their peers. Additionally, we were able to
make Christmas a more joyful time with the help of the
community by donating more than $30,000 to provide
over 371 children in our community with gifts.
We also provided scholarships to graduating seniors,
sponsored the Parker County Teen Court, provided
clothing through the Clothes Closet and made donations
to community events such as the “Shattered Dreams”
program at Aledo High School.

registration form, AND form is received by March 20, your
packet will be delivered to the school designated the week
of the race.
Awards
1K Fun Run
Fun Run participants (age 10 and under) will receive a
participation ribbon.
5K/10K Run/Walk
Awards will be given to the top three male/female runners in the
following age groups: 5 and under, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24,
25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,
70-74, 75+
CanDo
The CanDo division is for individuals with special needs. All
CanDo participants will receive a race medal and 1st, 2nd and
3rd place participants will receive additional prizes.
Other
Awards will be given to school and company with the highest
percentage of registered runners. Medals will be given to K-5th
grade finishers.

Waiver Statement: Entry invalid if not signed. In consideration of the
acceptance of this registration entry and being permitted to participate in
this event, I, the undersigned, assume full and complete responsibility for
any injury or accident, which may occur during my participation in the
event or while I am on the premises of the event. I hereby release and hold
harmless and covenant not to file suit against the sponsors, promoters,
contributors, municipalities, beneficiaries and all other persons and entities
associated with the event-including but not limited to the City of Aledo,
Aledo Independent School District, Luke’s Locker, and Aledo Children’s
AdvoCats or their agents or employees from any loss, liability, or claims and
any and all misrepresentations of such parties or any other person or entity
associated directly or indirectly with the event or their agents or employees
and are not responsible for intentional, reckless or negligent acts of third
parties who are outside their control. I will not enter and participate unless
medically and properly trained. I also know that although police protection
will be provided, there may be traffic on the course route. I assume the
risk associated with this event, including but not limited to falls, contact
with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat and/
or humidity, and the conditions of the course, all such risks being known
and appreciated by me. I further grant permission to the Aledo ISD, the
City of Aledo, Luke’s Locker and the Aledo Children’s AdvoCats to use any
photographs, video tape, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of
this event. T-shirt size is not guaranteed and subject to availability. Fees are
non-refundable. I have read the foregoing and certify my agreement by my
