In conjunction with public portion, AltCar Expo, will present a one‐day trade / industry conference on May 28th. Highlights include, a Welcome by Libby Shaaf, Mayor of the City of Oakland; the debut of the Bay Area Climate Collaborative Launch of Ready, Set, Charge Fleets: A Guide to EV Deployment for Fleet Managers guidebook; the debut of new infrastructure plans for the Bay Area and A Tough Look at Funding panel, a session that brings Northern California's top clean air vehicle funding providers for discussion and focus on current clean air vehicle funding mechanisms, program goals, issues/challenges, and emerging/future opportunities. People often drive their cars because their homes or businesses lie beyond easy walking distance to public transit. This is known as the ‘last mile problem.’ Many residences and businesses lay beyond an easy walking distance to a public transit station, this is known as the "last mile problem".
