AltCar Expo Green Car & Energy Show Returns to the Bay Area May 28th at
Oakland City Hall
View, test-drive, and talk to leading green vehicle experts
Oakland, CA - AltCar Expo, the nation’s leading forum for green car ride and drive, public education and
demonstration of the latest green technology vehicles, will take place on Thursday, May 28th, from 10 a.m.
- 6 p.m., at Oakland City Hall. The AltCar Expo Ride & Drive is free and open to the public.
AltCar Expo will present the most extensive array of green vehicles in one place, including: electric,
hybrid electric, hydrogen, natural gas, propane & bio-diesel vehicles. Most are available to test drive and
many may even be purchased during the Expo. The event will feature vehicle debuts, lectures and
demonstration opportunities.
The vehicle and booth display areas will be open to the public from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
AltCar Expo trade conference portion will begin at 9:00 a.m., and is directed primarily to elected officials,
private and public fleet owners, municipalities and industry. Highlights of the Thursday conference

EV Deployment for Fleet Managers
This is the roll-out presentation of the Ready, Set, Charge Fleets: A Guide to EV
Deployments for Fleet Managers guidebook. The presentation will consist of a step-bystep walk through by Dave Head, Consultant, Retired Fleet Manager, Sonoma County,
followed by a question and answer period presented by Mike Harrigan, Senior Program
Manager, Bay Area Climate Collaborative.

A “Tough” Look at Funding
A panel discussion moderated by Richard Battersby, Equipment Manager for the City of
Oakland and Director of the East bay Clean Cities Coalition featuring the Air Resources
Board, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the Bay Area Climate Collaborative
and the California Energy Commission.
The AltCar Conference is co-presented by the City of Oakland Public Works & the East Bay Clean Cities.
