Applicant must have admission to Andrean High School. PSAS must be filed with Diocese of Gary or Andrean High School (not both) Submit a preliminary essay on the following topic: “The importance of a Catholic education in today’s society” Include reasons to attend Andrean High School and outline your goals for your time at Andrean. The essay should be no more than 500 words, typed, double spaced, 12 point font. Please include your name and class year at the top of each page. Some scholarships may require an additional essay. • Submit copies of school transcript/ most recent report card. • This application should be completed by the student. • All scholarship application require one initial application and may require addition criteria. Brian and Connie Demkowicz Scholarship Two renewable$5,000 scholarships awarded to students beginning sophomore year who show financial need and are involved in at least one extracurricular activity. George and Ann Wesbecher Memorial Scholarship Two renewable half-tuition scholarships awarded to incoming freshmen students belonging to SS Peter and Paul Parish in Merrillville who show financial need and involved in at least one extracurricular activity. Please see criteria sheet for details. Marcia M. Cardetti Memorial Scholarship Two renewable half-tuition scholarships awarded to one female and one male sophomore, junior or senior student. Please see criteria sheet for details. Dawn Brancheau Foundation “Dream Big” Scholarship One $3000 scholarship to be awarded annually completely (or divided) to an Andrean senior year.
