Architectural Technician at Arquitir Projects

Small size architectural services company. My tasks consisted on the full preparation of residential and
commercial renovations, extensions and new construction projects.
CAD plan drawing. As a Junior Architectural Technician I was the only professional in charge for the design
and preparation of full sets of drawings, from the first appointment with costumers to the culmination. The
most part of the work consisted in the drawing of plants, elevations and details using AutoCAD. During the
development of a project deadlines were important. I was prepared to withstand the pressure of time limits
and the ability to solve the problems that may arise.
I met the customers in the office, to hear their personal objectives and preferences and thus advise them in
order to design the most appropriate project. The first step consisted in drawing the CAD plans of the current
status after visiting personally their house, making a general inspection and first site measurements survey,
and design several new distribution options.
Construction details and Building Services. Due to the fact that I have also construction and building
services knowledge, I was responsible to draw the construction details required, especially facades and
constructive elements, including special projects such as PassivHaus constructions. Additionally, I studied
and draw all the changes or modifications that should be applied on the building services design (electricity,
plumbing, lighting, fire and security systems).
Additional work in the company was the calculation of budgets and cost control of different projects as a
quantity surveyor, and energy performance reports. In every renovation project I elaborated a preliminary
thermal report of the previous insulation status, proposing different technical solutions that could be applied
to improve its performance and comfort.

During this 4 years studies I have acquired general knowledge about construction, including building services
and fire safety, construction management, energy-saving and performance design, property valuations,
residential structural design, quantity surveying, refurbishments and conservation, material execution and

- From July 2013 to January 2014, I travelled around Europe and UK improving my language skills, moving
to the country early this year. During this time I prepared and passed my language official tests in order to
apply for further studies in Britain.
- Amateur experience in the design of magazines, logos, flyers and editing videos. Following my passion for
technology, I participated as a writer of articles on the website www.revogamers.net before entering College.
- European full car driving license. Able to travel throughout the UK.
