A systematic approach
to radiography and
radiographic interpretation
of the foot and ankle. Led by
Dr Robert Christman
Dr Christman is a tenured professor at Western University of Health Sciences’ College of
Podiatric Medicine in Pomona, California. He sits on the Board of Directors of the American
College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine, chairing the Podiatric Imaging Council,
and has twice been named amongst ‘America’s Most Influential Podiatrists’ by Podiatry
Management magazine. He is an expert and award-winning clinician, author, scholar and
teacher, with over three decades in the profession.

Learn how to select appropriate
radiographic views for a patient study,
how to determine which view would
best serve to visualise any given
osseous landmark or body part of
the foot, and how to determine the
location of a particular landmark or
lesion radiographically and correlate it
to the patient clinically.

Improve your recognition of the
radiographic features of joint disease, and
enhance your ability to distinguish and
differentiate between the joint disorders.

Discuss the advantages and
disadvantages of, and the indications for,
bone scintigraphy, CT, MRI, ultrasound,
and molecular imaging studies (PET and
SPECT).
The Australasian Podiatry Council
suggests that this activity is valued at
four CPD hours under Podiatry Board
of Australia Guidelines.
