Tips on making contact with a local elementary school and teaching a water safety lesson  Contact your local school and ask to speak with the principal or contact your child’s teacher  Explain that May is National Water Safety Month and that you, as a professional in the pool and spa industry, would like to come to the school to talk about safe swimming in preparation for summer vacation.  Consider ordering safety materials offered by APSP to distribute.  Make a copy of one of the National Water Safety Month posters, using artwork from the APSP Website, and give it to the school.  Finish the lesson by taking the Safe Swimmer’s Pledge!
