NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
REGISTRATION WITH THE BOARD AT INTERMEDIATE AND FINAL LEVELS IN ARCHITECTURE,
QUANTITY SURVEYING AND ALLIED DISCIPLINES EXAMINATIONS
1.0
APPLICATIONS FOR THE NOVEMBER 2015 EXAMINATIONS:
The Board hereby invites applications from interested persons to sit for the Professional Examinations in
Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management and Building
Survey that will be held in early November 2015.
1.1 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
A.
ARCHITECTURE AND ALLIED DISCIPLINES:
(i)
Intermediate Level:
A Candidate must hold an Advanced Diploma in Architecture from the Ardhi Institute, UCLAS or equivalent
qualifications from a recognized institution.
(ii) Final Level:
The Candidate must hold a Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture or equivalent
qualifications from a recognized institution or must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board in
Architecture.
B.
QUANTITY SURVEYING ALLIED DISCIPLINES:
(i)
Intermediate Level:
The Candidate must hold an Advanced Diploma in Building Economics from the Ardhi Institute, UCLAS or
Equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
(ii) Final Level:
The Candidate must hold a Degree in Building Economics/Quantity Surveying, Building Survey, Construction
Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution. or Must have passed the Intermediate
Examination of the Board in Quantity Surveying.
C.
REFERRALS:
Candidates who attempted the Examinations of the Board in previous year(s) and were referred in certain
subject(s)are highly encouraged to re-sit the same in the November 2015 examination session.

The deadline for submission of applications for the examinations is Friday, 3 July 2015 at 4.00 pm.
2.0 SUBMISSION OF EXPERIENCE REPORTS:
The deadline for submission of the Experience Reports for Final Level Examinations in Architecture, Quantity

Surveying, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management and Building Survey is Friday 17
July, 2015 at 4.00 pm Submission of the experience Reports (Three copies one original and two copies)
must be accompanied with a non- refundable fee of Tzs.50,000.00.
The Diary sheets must be filled in by HAND and signed by both the candidate and the Supervisor
3.0 MODE OF APPLICATION
Letters of applications for the Examinations must be accompanied by duly filled prescribed form obtainable from the
Board offices or from the Board’s website(www.aqrb.go.tz)
addressed to the undersigned. The cost of the form is Tzs.5,000.00.
Additionally for the final level candidates, they must be accompanied with a letter from the supervising Architects or
Quantity Surveyors stating that the applicant has acquired sufficient professional training and is ready for the
Board’s examinations.
