Dear Parents
Summer vacation is a welcome break….Break from fixed schedules, rules and
regulations of the school. Freedom brings more responsibility, so keeping this
in mind; we have planned most of the activities to keep our children engaged
and also help them in channelizing their energies. Kindly help and guide your
child in completing his work and also exploring his creative self.
Submit the given homework in a folder with clearly mentioned name, class
and section. It would be wonderful if the children themselves decorate the
folders with their tiny hands.
Happy Holidays! Have fun with your little one!

SELF GROOMING BASKET:
Learning outcome:- To be confident and independent
Kids aren’t born knowing how to keep themselves clean, so it is essential for
parents, educationists or mentors to take on the responsibility of teaching
them good hygiene. A daily routine can be established and reinforced when
children are young, allowing the healthy habits to become second nature.
The importance of personal grooming can be stressed via fun activities such
as games, craft and songs, while at home or in school. When children learn

How independent can I become?
Make your child more independent by teaching him or her various activities
like
 Buttoning and unbuttoning the shirt.
 Laying the table.
 Folding mats and clothes.
 Arranging their toy shelf.
 Learning to wear shoes and socks.
 Learning how to zip their school bag
and their uniform.(shorts)
 Sorting and pairing household items.
 Offer others before eating.
 Take care of their belongings.
 Be polite with others.
Good manners and good habits are life long assets and they should be
practiced until they become habit. Revise the four magical words: PLEASE,
SORRY, THANK YOU and EXCUSE ME which we have learned as the part of
basics of good manners. Make these four magical words a habit and see the
difference.

What You Need:
Construction paper
Clear drying, non-toxic glue
Markers or tempera paint and a paintbrush
Glitter
Cellophane or clear plastic wrap
Scissors
Family photos
Page
1. Help your child trace and cut a large circle from a piece of
cardboard. This will be the background for her snow globe.
2. Have her cut out different shapes she'd like to include.
Encourage her to think about the summer season and the
shapes that go with it. Does she want flowers, trees, the
ocean?
3. Don't forget to bring out those family photos! Encourage her
to pick a few pictures of herself to add a special touch to her
summer scene.
4. When she's done cutting out her shapes and photos have her
glue them onto the cardboard circle, and add in extra details
with tempera paints or markers. Set aside to dry.
5. Cut a piece of cellophane or plastic wrap large enough to easily
wrap around the circle with room to spare.
6. Have her sprinkle a small pile of glitter in the centre of the
artwork. Immediately place the cellophane on top of the
glitter, and wrap it around to the back of the cardboard
circle.
7. Secure the cellophane using glue and tape. You're all done!
8. Shake the "snow globe" to watch the glitter float over the
summer picture, simulating a rainy day!
