Scholarship Application
Dear future Arizona Wildcat:
On behalf of the University of Arizona Alumni Association, I want to thank you for your interest in The University of
Arizona. The Alumni Association is made up of graduates who are very proud of their affiliation with their alma mater and
want to maintain a life-long relationship with this institution.
Our mission is to raise scholarship funds for incoming students to The University of Arizona. This year we will be offering
a total of nine (9) merit based scholarships which will include five (5) one-time $4,000 scholarships and four (4) yearly
renewable $4,000 scholarships to entering freshman for the 2015-2016 academic year based on the following criteria:
academic excellence, leadership, and service. Contingent on your acceptance to and decision to attend The University of
Arizona, you are eligible to apply for this award. Please return this application, and include the following information:
1. A resume which highlights your scholastic achievements, extracurricular activities, honors, work experience,
community service, and any other information you deem as important.
2. A one page printed essay about your decision to apply and/or attend The University of Arizona. The essay
should be about you, your intended field of study, your interests, concerns, expectations and goals. You need
not restrict yourself to educational interests and are encouraged to be personal and write about things that are
important to you. The essay must be one page only, single- or double- spaced, in 12-point type with one-inch
margins. Essays more than one page or in any other type size will not be accepted.
3. Unofficial transcripts
Your completed application must arrive by Friday, March 20, 2015. No late or incomplete applications will be considered.
We will be holding short interviews for the finalists on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Selection for an interview does not
guarantee the awarding of a scholarship. Finalists will be notified in advance of the time and location. If you have any

Scholarship Application
This application serves the University of Arizona Alumni Association (www.arizonaalumni.com). To be eligible, you
cannot be related to a member of the scholarship committee and you must reside in Maricopa County. Scholarships are
open to all without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin or other protected categories, in compliance with the
University’s Non-Discrimination Policy (http://equity.arizona.edu/policies). The scholarship selection committee adheres
to these University policies.
For this application to be considered, you must provide all information requested. The application must be typed or
completed in black ink with a typewritten essay. The essay should be about you, your intended field of study, your
