He has developed curriculum models and implemented player developmental programs at the recreational, club, & high school levels. He has led multiple teams to State Championship titles at the club and high school level; developed youth players for the state, regional, and national level ODP teams; prepared, trained, and promoted players to regional, national, and college soccer programs, and is a highly experienced goalkeeper trainer & technical director. Sean has been married to his wife Heather for 19 years and they have two daughters, Haley and Brooklyn who both play soccer with ASA. Coach Sean holds the US Soccer National “C” License & the NSCAA National Diploma. RODNEY BRIGHT Rodney has been coaching youth soccer for 20 years in the Memphis area. Rodney was a multi-sport athlete in high school in the Memphis area and was an all conference, record holding athlete (baseball) at the University of Memphis. Rodney also conducts strength, speed and agility training sessions through his N1B Athlete Training program. Coach Rodney holds the USSF “D” license and the NSCAA Level 6 Diploma. JOHN CHISOLM Over the last 20 years, John has had a successful career coaching at every level of the game. He has been an ODP Staff coach for Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, and Mississippi as well as holding director and coaching positions for youth clubs such as Dallas Inter SC, Dallas D’Feeters SC, Williamsburg SC, Brentwood Soccer Club, Nashville FC, TNFC, Stones River FC, and Tupelo FC. He has also coached collegiately and professionally with Huntingdon College, Vanderbilt, William & Mary, Mississippi State University, Nashville Metros Pro FC, and Richmond Kickers FC. He played collegiately at Northeast Louisiana (now Louisiana-Monroe). Coach John holds the US Soccer National “B” License, National Goalkeeper, and National Youth License, and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. JON COFFIELD Jon grew up playing soccer in the Memphis area. He was a stand out midfielder for Raleigh-Egypt High School. He began his coaching career in the Arlington Recreational program before joining the coaching staff with ASA in 2012. He is a 17 year veteran fire fighter/ EMT-A with the Memphis Fire Department. Jon has been married to his wife Natalie for 16 years and they have a daughter and son who both play with ASA. Coach Jon holds the US Soccer National “E” license. GREG GETMAN Greg has been coaching in Arlington youth soccer for 5 years. Greg has been a coach for the School Of Excellence program and coaches the ASA Boys Juniors program. Greg grew up in Bartlett playing youth soccer and played competitively for the Rangers FC. Greg also plays and coaches a men’s soccer team for Greater Memphis Soccer Association. Coach Greg holds the US Soccer National “E” license. PHIL HOLDSWORTH Phil is a native of Leeds, England. He played college soccer at Manchester University (UK) and semi-pro/ amateur level adult soccer. He has over 20 years coaching experience winning multiple titles with St Giles Soccer Club in Greenville, SC., Upstate Girls SC (UGSA), Germantown Fury, and Midsouth FC. Phil worked in the UK for soccer company Umbro from 1983-1990 moving to Greenville, SC to work for Umbro USA from 1991-1999. In 1999 he moved to Memphis to work for Varsity Brands (running the Umbro and Select soccer division). Since 2011 he has worked for the Varsity Cheer business as VP of Customs Compliance and Import Management. Phil is married to his wife Kelly. Their daughter Ashley, a four year Varsity tennis player at St Benedict graduates in 2015 and will attend the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Coach Phil holds the US Soccer National “E” license. MATTHEW KESLER Matt is in his junior year as the goalkeeper for the Union University Men’s Soccer program. During his freshman year he helped Union to qualify for the NCCAA DI 2012 National Tournament, where his team won third place. In his Junior season, he earned 2nd team AllConference in the Gulf South Conference as well as All-Academic team honors. Before attending Union, Matt played for his high school varsity team lettering all four years where he won back to back State Championships in 2010 and 2011. His junior year, Matt was named All-Metro, AllRegion, Region MVP and All District. He added All-Region, District MVP and All-Region Tournament to his senior year. Matt played club soccer for Clarksville Kaos and for TN Rush Soccer Club where he earned a State Championship in 2011. Matt holds the US Soccer “E” coaching license. OWEN LOPEZ Owen is originally from Diriamba, Nicaragua and grew up in Southern California. As a player he was a local standout in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles; he led his high school team (La Serna High) to two CIF semi-final appearances. As a senior he was Invited to the San Gabriel Valley all-star game. Owen played collegiate soccer at Mt. San Antonio college and San Diego State University. As a professional he played in Nicaragua Primera División for Diriangén F.C and Hermanos Molinas F.C. After playing soccer in Central America, Owen returned to the United state to finish his college degree and played soccer in the United State International Soccer League (USISL) for the Redlands "Inland Empire Panteras". As a coach, Owen has been involved with youth soccer for many years in Southern California under AYSO (Region 66) and recently the Arlington soccer program. Coach Owen holds the US Soccer National “E” license and is pursuing a NSCAA Youth National License. REBECCA MADISON Madison is the current Assistant Women's coach at Rhodes College. She joined the Lynx after most recently serving as an assistant coach and interim head coach at Smith College, a NCAA Division III institution in Northampton, Massachusetts, for two years. Madison has a variety of coaching experience under her belt, including coaching at the high school, club and youth levels. Prior to her coaching career, Madison was a standout for the Battling Bishops at Ohio Wesleyan University. A 2012 graduate from OWU, Madison was a two year captain, a three time North Coast Athletic Conference First-Team AllConference selection, three time team Most Valuable Player and 2009 team Offensive MVP. In 2013, she was selected for the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Decade Team, which was an honor awarded to the top 17 female soccer players to have competed in the North Coast Athletic Conference between 2003-2013. Madison graduated from undergraduate Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts in sports management and obtained her masters from Smith College in 2014 specializing in exercise and sports studies. Coach Rebecca is pursuing a NSCAA Youth National License. GRANT PAULE Grant was a local standout in the Memphis area as a player. He was TN state team member 1993-2000. He was on the ODP 1997-2000 Regional team. Best of preps finalist 97-2000. Winner in 2000. Adidas TN state player of the year 2000. High school All-American 2000. High school state and National Champions 1999-2000 (Houston high school). State Tournament MVP 2000. Invited to Elite Soccer Program (esp) in 1999. Under 23 National pool in 2001. Played at University of Memphis 2000-2001. Memphis Cup MVP 2002, while attending CBU 2002. Grant has coached with Memphis Futbol Club and has developed players for the regional and national ODP levels. Coach Grant holds the US Soccer National “E” license. GREG PAULE Greg has been coaching in the Arlington Youth Soccer program for over 5 years. He played competitive soccer in Texas and Memphis. He was a member of the TN State runner up team and a Best of Preps finalist in 1989 for Germantown HighSchool. Greg then went on to play college soccer at Christian Brothers University where he was a standout defender. Greg has also played and coached in the Division I GMSA adult league for many years. Greg has been married to his wife Amy for 13 years and has three children, Maddie, Walker and Gracie who all play in Arlington and ASA. Coach Greg holds the US Soccer National “E” license and is about to complete his “D” license. RYAN PAULE Ryan has been coaching in the Arlington Youth Soccer program for 5 years. He played competitive soccer in Plano, TX and Memphis, TN. Ryan played High School soccer for Germantown High School, earning All Metro honors in 1992. He went on to play college soccer at Christian Brothers University. Ryan has been married to Bethany Paule for 10 years. He has two daughters, one who plays for ASA. He also has a little boy due this August. Coach Ryan holds the US Soccer National “E” license. ROSS RIDENHOUR Ross grew up playing soccer locally with Memphis Futbol Club, now Midsouth FC, and Houston high school where he was a standout player. He then continued his soccer career at Appalachian State University playing 4 years. Ross has over 10 years coaching experience at the club level and college level with High Country Avalanche (Boone, NC), Memphis Futbol Club, Midsouth FC, TN Rush, and Appalachian State. He is married to his wife Nicole. Coach Ross holds the US Soccer National “D” license. STEPHEN SHEARER Stephen has over 10 years experience coaching competitive and recreational soccer in the Memphis area. He and his wife have one daughter who plays for ASA and twin daughters who play with Arlington High School. Coach Stephen also currently plays soccer for the Memphis Motrin FC in the MSSF Adult league. Stephen is the owner of LMK Building Designs, Inc. and was the first elected president of the Tennessee Structural Engineers Association in 2010. Coach Stephen holds the US Soccer National Youth License and the NSCAA National License. EMILY WRAGG Emily is originally from Nottingham, England and is in her 3rd year as the goalkeeper for the CBU Women’s Soccer Program where she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Previous to attending CBU Emily played for both Derby County and Nottingham Forest Ladies Centers of Excellence where she advanced into the senior squad winning both the league and league cup with Forest as well as attending the England ladies trials. Emily has been involved with coaching all ages of players in the local community summer camps over the past 3 years and with Liberty Soccer Club. She also has been a coach with Katz Keepers, a specialized camp for goalkeepers ages 7-18 in England. Emily holds the FIFA Level 1 coaching license.
